I love the desert. It is not often green and that's fine with me. However, when it is colorful, it is more colorful than just about anywhere.

There was so much rain this year that we expect a super-bloom. We are probably 2 weeks from the bloom being in full effect, but it was still very colorful and about as good smelling a place as anywhere in the world.

Beautiful shots man. But you can keep the smells. Those pics make my allergies act up!
 
I'm not a very outdoors kinda guy. Parents never took me camping. I definitely take pics when we are out and about, but @THE HCP just doesn't do camping.
 
@andalusian you have so many amazing pictures. Do you travel for a living? Retired and travel? Really love all of the pics!

Thanks. Not retired. Travel for fun, work or in the case of Oakland, taking a kid to college.

We have recently became "empty nesters" since our youngest went to college - so we are trying to travel as much as possible. We repurposed the kids highschool car into a small, cheap "overlander" SUV. It's an old 2006 Lexus that we removed the rear seats and built a bed platform. We try to go and spend times in different places.
