I love that when they were filming that, on the other side of those hills they were shooting There Will Be Blood. They had to stop filming while the oil tower explosions were being shot. Love both those flicks.

I haven’t seen a snake in ages. Only snakes I’ve seen in the wild in this part of Oregon are Garter snakes. You’ll still find rattlesnakes in East/SE Oregon though.
California Kingsnakes outside our front door. While it is always startling to see snakes - these are the good ones. They prey on Rattlesnakes - so having them around is good news as they are nature's rattlesnake cleanup crew.
