SpearsNBAYahoo: "We're not giving up. I don't believe they're giving up," Holt said.

Silver said NBA is proposing a "10-year deal."

Silver says owners told players they won't go past 50 percent on revenue split.

Silver, "I've been more optimistic than I have been in other sessions. Obviously, I was disappointed."

Asked if league would EVER go above 50-50, Holt says, "As of today, that's true. But in negotiation, you never say never."

Silver says not just about money, but putting NBA in position where all 30 teams can compete.

Silver mentions hard cap success NFL and NHL has.

Silver and Holt still here, talking about how the NHL is a model for them.

^I don't know anything about how the NHL does stuff. Is this good or bad?

Is that Etan Thomas behind Hunter?

WTF is he doing there? I thought he didn't even have a team.

Fisher joined by Hunter and committee members Chris Paul, Etan Thomas, Mo Evans, Roger Mason and James Jones.

Fisher: "I want to make it clear that you guys were lied to earlier. Plain and simple."

Fisher: "You guys were lied to earlier. it's that simple. we spent the last few days making our best effort to try to find resolution here."

Fisher: "They're interested in telling you one-sided stories that are not true."

Fisher: "We have to continue to stay focused on the facts and the realities."

NBPA's Fisher: "We in no way implied that we're not here to continue negotiate. ... We did not precondition."

NBPA's Fisher said union did not break off talks just because NBA was sticking to 50-50 BRI split.

Fisher: "Obviously, they have no intention of moving from 50 (on the BRI)."

Fisher insists that the players did not walk out on talks today.

HCP, check out the video. It's much better than following just a select few tweets.

BTW, Fisher said it was the players that brought up the 50-53 "band" in revenue.

Hey owners: you know why there's "parity" in other sports? BECAUSE THEY'RE DIFFERENT SPORTS! A superstar in Baseball or Football is one guy in many. A superstar in the NBA is one among 5.

You want parity? Have the playoffs be one-and-done. Scrap the playoff model and just have a fucking massive NCAA type tournament. Oh, you don't want that? Because profits would go down? I guess it wasn't about parity after all, was it?

Fisher called NBA claims they are not willing to make a deal "upsetting and frustrating."

KBergCBS: The gloves are off. Now Hunter speaking.
