Perkins will have to be in that trade to make it work. Jackson makes 13-14 million less than Lopez.

If the Wolves are considering buying out Martin, then shouldn't he (theoretically) be available in trade for a heavy discount?

For instance, say Denver insists on CJ instead of Will, and Minnesota wants to ditch Martin for even less than the buyout. This could work for everyone.

if they were going to just buy him out then it would seem logical expirings would be enough
