Closely watching the situation in OKC. I want them to be forced into keeping Jackson. Westbrook just called him out in public, and their chemistry is broken.

Don't bail them out by giving them Lopez, Billy King.

What did Westbrook say?

What did Westbrook say?

Multiple sources on twitter-- can't copy paste so I'm typing what I saw on my phone:

Westbrook on deadline in OKC: "Normal, ain't too many talking but one person."

"You have to determine if someone doesn't want to be here, then you can't make him be here."

"We have a chance to win a championship, and if Reggie is not here, we still have a chance of winning a championship."

Royce Young also says locker room chemistry has "deteriorated."

Unless it's Westbrick for Lopez! :)

Calling that is like saying "I have a feeling we will see light tomorrow morning"

Look at the context, I called it back on the 8th when it was still not known if Afflalo could be obtained. Give me credit, damnit, I hardly get anything right when it comes to this sort of thing. (Ya'll may have fun with that as you wish. haha.)

Nah, all in all, I'm super stoked to have Afflalo.

Okay okay! You called it! Hahaha

I would have been fine with either Chandler OR Afflalo, but I think Afflalo is the better player between the two.

So.... this is it for Portland? Afflalo? Terrible, terrible move. WTF?

I don't care that none of the three guys we gave up do not play (and were not going to be here next season), they have a ton of potential (especially Barton and TRob). FAMS!

ooh, don't do it, Larry.

I don't want David West in OKC. That's a serious upgrade

I hope they make that trade. West is getting old and Jackson is a young stud point guard. That's not a great trade for them.

God Minnesota is bad. What a terrible trade. Just terrible. This is so Garnett can retire a TWolf?
That is the only explanation it could be but still makes it horrible. Thad has game. Garnett doesn't anymore.

Javale McGee's new teammates have reason to hate him already:

While McGee's contract was a disaster for Denver's salary cap situation, it doesn't hurt Philly's. The Sixers are so far below the salary cap that they're actually below the salary floor — the minimum amount of money a team has to spend on player salaries — by $15 million. The collective-bargaining agreement stipulates that teams have to reach the salary floor no matter what. If Philly wouldn't have made the McGee trade, they would have taken the difference between their total payroll and the salary floor and paid it to their current players as a bonus.

So the money the Sixers are giving McGee, one, was going to be spent no matter what, and, two, had no other use.
