Hard disagree. She could clown on these whiny scrubs because she’s making good money but she’s nothing but class. Where has she been disrespectful to them? They’re mad because they will never be as popular or successful as her.

She's the opposite of classy on the floor.

Not nearly enough to move the needle with TV ratings. Viewership going up 170% is only going to happen if a major star enters the league. Massive amounts of people. And massive amounts dont usually like to watch rebounding.

Do they? She's without a doubt the most hated player in the league by sports fans. She gets roasted on social media far more than any other player.

I push back about her (fans) whining. That's it. She's a fine basketball player.

If her fans would stop bitching I'd probably rarely talk about her.

I challenge you to find me bringing her up without being in response to her fans bitching. You can't do it. Because I simply don't care about her as anything more than another player.

I'm simply saying it's not some weird thing that we shouldn't understand why people are treating her the way they do.

They treat her the way they do because she treats them like shit as well. It's as simple as that.

It's not because she's white. It's not because she's good. It's not because she's straight.

There are plenty of other good straight white basketball players in the WNBA and people don't treat them like that. Because they don't treat other people like shit.

I'm gonna be honest dude. Most WNBA players just don't interest me because of the way they play ball. It's fucking boring. Clark is not boring. She's exciting. What other WNBA player can do these things? She's shooting from the fucking logo.

 
Ionescu is a really good player and I love her from when she was a Duck, but she's just not even remotely as exciting to watch as Clark.

 
I do kinda agree with Phatguysrule. Clark has gotten more and more whiny and more and more of an entitled attitude on the court.

And her fans have just gotten whinier and whinier. It's annoying.

I really have no problem with CC. She's doing the best she can without adapting her game. If she improves her handle and foot speed (and gets comfortable passing the ball ahead or reversing it when pressured) she'll be unstoppable. It won't matter who's guarding her.

Will she do that? It remains to be seen...

CC plays with attitude. We can make quite a lengthy list of other players - men and women - who do the same. I absolutely believe race plays a factor too. She has received a TON of attention and publicity the last three years. I think its obvious other players dont like it and feel disregarded by the media and fans, like CC is a savior of some sort. But she kind of is. She isnt in the same stratosphere of being a punk like Angel Reese who is totally unlikeable. She also isnt a nice/liked/respected as Sabrina. So she brings 'some' of this on herself, sure. It just sure seems like the WNBA doesnt know how to handle recent success and popularity that they have desired for so long. The league wanted all of this, now has it, and sure does its best to sabotage its own success. The 'average' fan or just sports fan I guess, when you say anything about the WNBA, does an eye-roll and thinks they are somewhat of a joke. Their t-shirts at the AS game, the complaining about refs this season, treatment of CC, listening to Reese, its a turn off.

I have no problem at all with attitude. Sabrina plays with attitude. Most guards in the wnba do. It's the "whiny" or "victim" thing. And she has done that since before she was in the WNBA.

I really think that's what gets the other players treating her the way that they do. Not being willing to give her props, etc...

*Edit* I agree that the shirts at the All-Star game were a turn off.

You can't judge a player's following by social media comments. You don't even know if comments are from humans or bots. Some remarks about Reese unfortunately are overly racist. And I would bet many of the haters have never been to a WNBA game.
