The level of naivety is amazing. Of course our government is corrupt. There's evidence on so many levels of our government lying to us or showing bias... I don't care if there's a Republican or a Democrat in office, the bastards lie. They are in the business of lying.
I just think it's funny that so many Dems would scream and holler and cry about how "Bush lied, people died" and how Bush was so corrupt with his connections to Halliburten and big business... but now that a Dem is in office it's pure and clean and unblemished. That's a good one. Hey guys, maybe you didn't know, the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus are really out there too... as is Elvis and 2pac.
This is a big thing for Obama. This is something tangible he can use in the next election. Where Bush failed, he succeeded. It's pretty smart really, but I don't see how he can actually make this claim without any tangible evidence. Nothing. Not a series of photos, not a video, and certainly not a body. It's all waaaay too convenient with him being down in the polls. It sounds like a script out of a movie. They found him hiding in a mansion, deep behind enemy lines, so they sent in a group of special forces to shoot him in the head. I'm pretty sure Chuck Norris, Sylvester Stallone, and Arnold were all part of this team. Possibly Bruce Willis as well.
I'm just curious if you guys would have accepted something similar from Bush. If he had said they had found the WMDs, but they were immediately destroyed and there was no photo or video evidence of the discovery, would you have believed it? The whole thing stinks to high heaven.
