Did Pierce really think he was gonna get bailed out with 10 seconds left and the game on the line?

Is it dawning on anybody else just how amazing Brandon's playmaking and decision making is at the end of games after watching the Bulls terrible execution?

No doubt. When B-Roy has the ball in his hands down 1 on a last-second possession, I'm pretty confident he'd win the game more times than not.

Wow that was HUGE!!!!!!!!! They just stole home court from the Celtics :-)

No KG this time though. The pressure is all on Paul.

He's faced that basically every year of his career, though, prior to Allen and KG showing up. ;) And they won playoff games with him as the focal point.

So he's played hundreds of NBA games, including huge Finals games, and this is when the pressure finally crushed him?

I didn't say he is a choker, my friend. but that he choked in the clutch. Tough to tell if he did, but I think this is what I would consider choking.

I think a player of Pierce's caliber (claiming he was the best player inthe world after last year), with the (playoff - home) game on the line needs to make both of those free throws.

If not, I would consider it choking I suppose. IDK, because you can make arguements like Minstrel did. nobody makes them all... but I think in a clutch situation, especially at the FT line with the game on the line from a player like Pierce, you gotta make that.

A mentally weak player who does that many times and has a reputation of it/makes habit of it is what i'd consider a choker. At least that is my opinion.

What a dumbass question... "Were you aware of Kareem's scoring record for a playoff debut?"

I don't know.... has Pierce won playoff games without KG or Antoine Walker when he was good?

Right, I just don't think that makes sense. You can't MAKE shots go down. If you could, you'd hit every single one. Every player is limited by their abilities, and no one has the ability to hit every shot. I don't think it makes sense that an elite player "has to make every free throw in clutch situations." All they can do is shoot them at their best ability...which is like 80-85%.

Refs and Stern conversation after the game...

Stern: WTF Happened there?!?! Idiots!
Refs: We tried, sir. We are so sorry. We even tried to give them the game in regulation and decide it by ourselves but Paul couldn't knock down the free throw. Anything after that would have been too apparent
Stern: I don't care! If people think we are cheating hopefully we will get more ratings! Boston cannot lose in the 1st round! Do I make myself clear!
Refs: Yes sir... won't happen again.

You aware that we gave as many gifts to Bulls as the refs gave to us. Rondo taking multiple bad gambles, and the team opting for Ray Allen and Glen Davis over Pierce on two occasions.

Well 1-2 =/= 85%. Either way, the arguement is moot because one party says he didn't choke under pressure and he just missed, the other says he did. Its impossible to prove (only Paul would no, and he would never admit it) so there is no right/wrong answer here.

Hey this is an active game thread for all the playoff games. We're talking Cleveland-Detroit now, move on
