Meyers Leonard Per 36 minutes: 22.2pts / 12.0 rebs / 0.9 blks / 0.9 stls
Damian Lillard Per 36 minutes: 18 pts / 7.4 asts / 3.7 rebs / 0.0 stls

Would you accept the above out of your starting point guard and center? I know I would.

FIFY

oramiwrong?

are you sure? i know a black leonard, and a white lillard

And I know a Priest Lauderdale; it doesn't mean Dallas is a minister.

if he isnt then the wedding i attended a fortnight past isnt legally binding, his ceremony was beautiful

Meyers..... Never happen so if course I'd like that to happen.

Lillard....... I predicted 16/6/2...... So those #s are realistic.

What are you talking about? I was talking about Rebounds and Assists...

Then why do you think Meyers Leonard is averaging 12 assists per 36? My numbers were correct. We're you trying to make a joke and I just missed it?

This thread looks to be a case of premature pronostication. Sorry, BC.

Go Blazers

What's sad is those are real numbers. Real! I'm thus even more impressed with Leonard.

22.3/10.2reg/1.5blk per 36
15/12.5ast/2.3 reb per 36

1993-94 Malone and Stockton. Yeah, I'd take that with LMA as the 3rd wheel and Batum/Wes playing hellacious D.

The obvious cautionary tale is that garbage men type baskets don't scale as well (though pre-Zbo Zach Randolph is a counterfact). I am hopeful that, if he can stay out of foul trouble, Meyers will end up being the real gem of the draft for us.

2nd year Roy and Aldridge:

LaMarcus Aldridge Per 36 minutes: 18.3 pts / 7.9 rebs / 1.3 blks / 0.7 stls
Brandon Roy Per 36 minutes: 18 pts / 5.5 asts / 4.5 rebs / 1.0 stls

Of course, there is no way Leonard (especially) and Lillard maintain the same production for 82 regular season games as they've put up in 2 preseason games, but it's an interesting comparison. The last time we had two lottery picks, we took a big man with two years of college experience and a 4-year guard. Other than Roy's injuries, that worked out pretty well.

Based on what I've seen so far, I am satisfied with both picks. Center and point guard are the two hardest positions to fill, and the Blazers had glaring needs at both. It looks like we may have gotten the best PG at 6 and the and second best center at 11. Both guys have a LONG way to go to justify any Aldridge/Roy comparisons, but I'm happy with the picks. I don't think we "reached" for either player, or passed any any players that are destined to be significantly better. Time will tell, but if we managed to get both our PGOTF and COTF in the ame draft, I'm happy with that. Time will tell...
