So the guy is all over the radio this week, and what I heard is

* He was against signing Darius for more than 1 year, but P.A. overruled him. He says was worried about Miles' "character and knees."

* He made the calls in the legendary 06 draft, not KP

* He liked Durant over Oden

* He was very concerned about Greg's health generally, and knees specifically

Well, to quote the Church Lady, how conveeeeeeeeeenient. Does he really think we are going to by this load of hooey?

I call bullshit.

Greg Oden didn't have any knee problems before the micro-fracture surgery, right?

And Durant over Oden seems like bullshit, every executive would have taken Oden.

The rest I can believe.

Prior to the draft there were a lot of 'insiders' that came on 1080 to talk Greg Oden and more than one said that his knees looked a lot older than the typical 19 year old professional athlete.

Oden's pre-draft physical did raise some health concerns -- mainly relating to the surgery on his shooting wrist that caused him to miss the beginning of last season at Ohio State, plus the fact that his right leg is one inch longer than the left. Yet Portland general manager Kevin Pritchard insisted Thursday that Oden's knees were checked out thoroughly and looked "absolutely pristine" when he officially became a Blazer on June 28.

"The comparisons [between] Sam and Bill are very unfair," Pritchard said. "This is a one-time, traumatic, non-chronic injury."

Patterson was slimy before we hired him, while he was with the Blazers, and now. Where's he been all these years? It seems oddly convenient he's emerged to fix up his reputation now.

Beware of men with pretty hair. This guy is the John Edwards of the sports world.
