This guy is doubling down
So if you're Knicks, whom would you rather like? Crowder, Harkless, or Kanter?
and he is from NYC. I love harkless but he will be happy with this move.Knicks have no need for a center, especially an overpaid one. They actually have a need for a SF like Harkless and he fits their timeline.
My guess:So what do you guys think the agree'd deal is? I haven't been following really closely. I know Harkless would be moved, but we still need to include more salary
Post that link on clutchfansI did some digging and McIntyre called the Irving trade details down to the names a month before it happened. It wasn't a report. Just his opinion, but he called it to a T.

I'd buy a Knicks Harkless jersey here.and he is from NYC. I love harkless but he will be happy with this move.
My guess:
NYK Recieves: Harkless, Davis, Vonleh, Napier, Connaughton, Layman, and a 2018 1st Round Pick
POR Recieves: Carmelo, Lee (TPE).
Sending out those 6 players allows Portland to receive $30M back (not counting the TPE)
This allows Carmelo to receive a good portion of his trade kicker and could be used as a tactic to get Carmelo to open his NTC for Portland.
Lee's salary fits in the TPE, and he replaces Crabbe's role in the rotation, and Carmelo replaces Harkless.
The logjam of bigs allows Portland to use Davis and Vonleh to match.
Olshey could do this because non-roster guys like Goodwin, Briscoe, and Morrow would suddenly get a spot, and that wouldn't be a bad thing as all of them are deserving of an NBA roster spot.
So Portland would role with:
Lillard / McCollum / Briscoe
McCollum / Lee / Goodwin
Carmelo / Turner / Morrow
Aminu / Swanigan / Collins
Nurkic / Collins / Leonard
That's 14 players, and Portland would probably look to sign another big man for insurance purposes.
As for as NYK goes:
They have Hardaway and Baker as the SGs they want to play and develop for the future, Lee gets lost in the shuffle there.
So you take out Lee, no problem.
Harkless replaces Melo as the starting SF, and fits well with Porzingas IMO. He makes less than Lee as well.
Every other contract they receive is expiring. They get to test out Vonleh who could be a good backup PF to Porzingas in the future.
If they let every expiring contract go, NYK would be saving money next summer, as Melo would be gone and they'd trade Lee's $11M a year contract for Harkless' $9M a year contract. So they save money and upgrade from an aging vet at a position they don't need him to a young, New York native who plays a position they need (SF).
Plus, they get a draft pick.
Makes so much sense for both teams.
Maaaaaan I really like Courtney Lee, I hope we get himMy guess:

This is a ploy to get more assets from Portland or Hou or team x
Does Vonleh's injury make him unavailable for trade?
Do iiiiitGuys.....
I'm about to hit ClutchFans with a gas attack....
You know the video - lurk over before I'm banned and it's deleted.
We have the 2nd best team in the league without Melo. It' not a big deal. Might make resigning CP3 tougher though
