Should the Blazers puruse Carmelo Anthony?

Won't Melo be a FA next summer? Do we really want to throw picks away for a 1 yr rental?
 
By the way, THIS is why you don't tank. If the Blazers had gone 37-45 or worse like many wanted, we would have NO SHOT at Melo. We have to win to look attractive to big stars.
 
So I think Melo/Port deal is ready when he says yes but before he said yes, he wanted to dream about Cle or OKC first. If OKC or Cleve had players Knicks want, the deal would be done. He knows once he says ok, he's a Blazer immediately.
 
If Anthony goes anywhere I hope that we were at least in the game. I would like to get him, as he is a Olympic Champion. If we don't, I wouldn't be upset. Having a "Big 3" is apparently the standard and I have zero concern that we don't already have that.

Smart people that don't root for the rockets (They are all smart) knew the Blazers were in it.
 
I'd like to say I'm surprised, but I'm really not.
 
We will see Olympic Melo and a new found confidence playing with the caliber of players we have. Stotts will have a hay day with him. We are also going to see CJ take that jump to stardom much like harden and curry did in their fourth year. We are going to be nasty
 
The more I think about the more questions I have about the timing of this. Three days before camp he opens up his list? This is a last ditch effort to get a better deal from someone not named Portland. The Portland deal is ready to go. Just my hunch.
 
Will OKC offer up Steven Adams? I don't think they should. Kanter and Melo would be an awful defensive 4 and 5.

But if they were to offer Adams and filler, i'd take that if i was NY.
 
So we weren't on this list now all of a sudden we are kinda on the list. hmmmmm
