Lin would not be a bad option as a 3rd guard behind Dame/CJ. Better than anyone we currently have, IMO.Please no Lin to Portland! no no no!

The "Melo knows! It'll happen anyway!" just sounds like standard Vecsey reporting, which was always speculation/his own opinions phrased as "what I'm hearing."

Knicks could play Crabbe at 3 in place of 'Melo.
I'll take my chances with shabazz. I think he's pretty good, and another year of development would be nice.
They're also getting Harkless. That was my point. With Harklesss and Hardaway Jr., Crabbe would be a $21 million a year bench player.

In the post you quoted, they weren't. That deal had them receiving Crabbe, Leonard, and Vonleh. They're also getting Harkless. That was my point. With Harklesss and Hardaway Jr., Crabbe would be a $21 million a year bench player.

I highly doubt we are trading Harkless

What the fuck? How does that trade make any sense for the knicks?
Your hearing this? From who?
Amico did say I believe before trade deadline that Portland was taking calls on dame which I don't believe so yeah definitely could be bullshitVecsey and amico are cut from the same cloth. Bullshit.
I no joke trust the big baby guy on twitter more.
From Peter vecsey the hold up in the trade is D'Antoni he doesn't want Anthony.
wut?Bill Simmons is so bad at talking about basketball
D'Antoni's offense is build on ball movement. Few players in the league stop ball movement more than Carmelo.
Or 1 team where we trade Dame for CJ.

I still wouldn't mind Melo on the Blazers. And it's not like D'Antoni doesn't know this. He coached Carmelo for parts of two seasons in New York and that didn't end well. His last season there was the lock out shortened 66-game 2011-12 season. This was the season after the Carmelo trade. D'Antoni had the rest of that season, all summer, training camp and preseason to figure out how to use Carmelo Anthony and it just didn't work. The Knicks started that season 18-24 under D'Antoni, he got fired and replaced with Mike Woodson, who led the exact same roster to an 18-6 record.
When D'Antoni says Carmelo won't work in his system, he knows what he's talking about. And, it's not like either party has changed in the last five years. Carmelo still plays ball stopping Carmelo ball and D'Antoni still plays fast and furious, no defense, 7 seconds or less ball.
The more I think about this, the more I hope it happens - as long as we don't get screwed in the process.

I really want a trade involving all 30 teams. Just once.
At least you have the privilege of doing it on NBA2k.I still wouldn't mind Melo on the Blazers.
Is that possible? On the trade machine?
That was pretty recent, wasn't it?No, the ESPN Trade Machine only supports a maximum of 4 teams per trade.
BTW, the largest trade in NBA history involved 5 teams and 13 players.
