I am willing to bet the 'Melo will be fantastic as your secondary scorer, 3rd best player. Sort of like how good Ray Allen was in Boston next to PP and KG.
I don't know--the only way he can be described these days is as a low-efficiency ball-dominant scorer. Seems like a bad fit on a team with Harden and Paul, two guys who are at their best controlling the ball. Should any team really rather have the ball in Melo's hands to let him try to create a contested mid-range jumper instead of in Harden's or Paul's hands? He's a worse shooter than Ryan Anderson by a lot and no better a defender. I think they're better off with Anderson, personally.
