It's time to finally unleash my sleeper agent status. The Houston dominance shall rise again! Watch out Portland!!!

Just kidding, wouldn't that be ridiculous, someone just playing the long game?

I think on one of the Warriors forums that KingSpeed trolled during the playoffs, he had registered years before. One of the posts was something like, "Who is this guy? He's been a member for 7 years?"

They were talking about my posts from here in their thread. Weird.

Do you want theprunetang?
Because that is how you get theprunetang.
Screenshot or link?

Let's start an internet flame war with these fuckas. I've been to Houston. It's the armpit of America. So humid you feel like you're sweating the second you go outside.

We have fresh air up here. Fresh air is good for the brain. Maybe that's why Rockette fans are so messed up in the head. Same with Laker fans. It's the air they're breathin.

Could we trade for Wade to get Melo?
Would that be worth it?
Would y'all do this if getting Wade meant Carmelo would wave his no trade clause?

Trade 1:
CHI Gets: Evan Turner, Zach Collins, Lotto Protected 2020 1st, Right to Swap 2021 1sts.
POR Gets: Dwayne Wade

Trade 2:
NYK Gets: Harkless, Davis, Leonard, Napier, Lotto Protected 2018 1st
POR Gets: Anthony, O'Quinn

Lillard (35) / McCollum (13)
McCollum (22) / Wade (26)
Anthony (20) / Crabbe (25) / Wade (3)
Aminu (26) / Swanigan (12) / Anthony (10)
Nurkic (32) / O'Quinn (16) / Vonleh

If Wade and Carmelo left, that would leave Crabbe as the only big, bad contract. Trade him (and it would be easy if he has 2 years left), and we'd have a lot of cap space to add to Lillard, McCollum, Nurkic, Aminu, Swanigan, and Vonleh.

Lillard is in LA. Know who else is there right now? Carmelo. How do I know this? If you check out Melos tags on instagram you'll see some fans posted selfies with him at ucla. Dame posted a selfie of himself in LA today.

Call me Colombo!

Nurk is in LA too btw. Not sure Melo knows who he is though lol.

I'm in LA. Am I part of the deal too? And what about El Presedente? Half the U.S. is in LA right now--okay, not half, but a lot of people. It is a very popular place to go. I wouldn't read anything into this.

Am I the only one that wants this to happen? I really wouldn't mind Melo here next to dame and cj and I have probably hated on Melo through his career for being a volume shooter, money over rings type player. I feel like he could fit with them, sure the defense would be terrible but I feel like the offense would flow so nicely

I wouldn't only because of ZCollins. If you could take him out then I would consider it. But, I would wonder how, when and where we would play Wade that would keep him happy.

Then don't

And Lillard doesn't really go to LA. I swear the only times he's been there was to recruit.

I didn't get that. I got that he is saying some of our players are also down there. They need to go seek melo out and swoon him.

Not that they already are.

I'm actually suggesting Lillard went down there for a specific reason cough Melo. In this day and age you have a general idea where players like to go in the offseason and literally the only times I've heard Lillard/LA was when he went to recruit/talk to a player (Aldridge, parsons)

I hope that is why Dame is in LA, but, FWIW, I have personally seen Durant and seperately Rolo/BroLo at Disneyland during the summer. Hard to imagine any of those guys on the rides, but they do it.

I'm not good at trolling, so I decided to play the long game over there. I'll pull the sleeper agent later this season when the right opportunity arises. For now, I have to pose as a Houston fan. It already feels wrong. I'd tell you my name over there, but they are reading this thread...haha.

Problem with cap space is no one wants to sign with us.

I read that someone said (sorry forgot to quote and cant find it now) That there is actually no need to hurry. Melo will stay in NYC until the season starts anyhow or something like that.

I think you forgot about fansanity... whoever you were! Absolutely a reason to get this done now and stop dragging it out!

That Chicago trade is aids. At the draft would ANY team give up two first-round picks for a 35 y/o Wade? Of course not.

I just don't see any way we could get Wade without giving up Collins.

Also, if we get Wade I want him to play next to Crabbe instead of Turner, because Wade struggles to shoot. That means sending out E.T. in the deal. Chicago could be willing to take on Turner's contract, as Turner is from there, they need a SF and a veteran presence, and we could compensate them. However, they have Markkanen and Portis as PFs of the future, so I don't see them being all that interested in Vonleh or Swanigan. At C, they only have Lopez and Felicio, so I think they would be high on Collins. A Markkanen/Collins frontcout could be absolutely dynamite for Chicago in the coming years, and they'd be a good fit for a PG in Dunn, as Dunn is a non-shooter.

If it takes less picks, I'd probably do it if it meant Carmelo coming to town. We'd be old but it would be an extremely fun year and a fun low risk gamble. It's low risk because we'd be able to shed salary and both Melo and Wade are expiring (Melo has a player option).

For as much as I like Collins, I think that I'd use him as compensation in order to swap Turner and Wade.

Everyone says that I don't send out enough in trade ideas, so I've been sending out more lately.

Would you trade Collins and Turner straight up for Wade if it meant Melo could waive his no trade clause and we could go forth with Davis, Leonard, Napier, and Harkless for Melo and O'Quinn?

The future savings is a big part of why I'd take this risk.

My only Houston experience was trying to get through on my Florida to Portland road trip last summer. Where I-10 goes through the city is just horribly fucked traffic wise. It was worse than when I had to drive through L.A. a couple of days later. I always laugh when people complain about the Portland traffic. Try getting around in that shit hole......
Are you referring to HOU or LA as "that shit hole"? I was just in LA for the first time in a looooong time. I don't know if I just got lucky, or if people exaggerate the hell out of LA traffic - I suspect the former - but I was pleasantly surprised at LA traffic. I was never in stand-still gridlock like I encounter here...traffic was constantly moving. I went down expecting the worst, but from what I experienced I couldn't complain. I had to change my driving style, which was fine given that I was in a rental car. The only thing that was worse was the sprawl - it takes forever to get from place to place because everything is sooooooo spread out. But, I can spend 45 minutes driving 7 miles in Portland or 45 minutes driving 30 miles in LA. Again, I do think I probably got really lucky...but from my limited experience LA has the infrastructure to handle traffic and Portland does not.

Not with Collins in the deal. There is no incentive here - Wade is a year or two from retirement.

Neil said that ZC was the only player in the lotto that they'd package picks for - definitely not a throw in for a declining player/salary dump.

It totally depends on the time and location . . . but, Portland can be as bad or worse on the main bottle-necks. You notice it more when you come from somewhere with no traffic. I'm lucky that I live NW of LA and rarely have to go into town.

Too big of a possibility of losing too many picks for players who could walk in a years time.
Cap space is one thing, but I don't want to see Portland becoming the LAC 2.0

I would do that. Melo is still a good 3rd option on a team and having a 3x champion like Wade would be valuable to us around playoff time.

I get where you are coming from, but that is a huge risk upfront to try and win next season. After that it tails off quickly.

I would rather take my chance a few years down the road when Nurk and ZCo start their window and Dame and CJ are are in the middle of their peak.
