that healthcare system was intact..reaping huge profits from employers accts...what happened is employers dumped the benefits for many middle class folks and left them high and dry...capitalism rears it's ugly head in this circumstance..all about the money..Obama said fixing this was going to take 20 years....he just tried to get it rolling.Heathcare was affordable if you didn't go with the high end plan...we didn't. If you needed the Golden package healthcare it was way too expensive...that's for sure

My wife was employed through 3 of her pregnancies, never said a word about it, in fact her employer was really accommodating during the 2nd and 3rd ones when she had complications, bent their own rules to keep her on board. Anecdotal, but Im glad things have changed.

It shows healthcare costs as percentage of the GDP by year. What it shows us is that since 2010 (when the ACA was introduced) - the US cost of healthcare has increased only by 1%, compare this to 4% in the decade before.

The ACA is far from perfect - but it has done a great job of tempering the rising cost of healthcare in this country. If anything, it shows that the 'free unregulated market is best' theory for healthcare in this country is dead wrong. The way to fix healthcare seems to be more regulation vs. letting big pharma do whatever it wants.

Especially when you consider the alternative that trump tried to shove down our throats to replace the ACA. No preexisting conditions, millions being booted of any kind of healthcare and costs that would have made the ACA look like a bargain..

lol, seems like that's a 2 way street. You don't like my comments, ignore them and move on then. The post you responded to wasn't even addressed to you so really wasn't any reason to respond and you do plenty of snarky and smug responses and for the record, johnnyboy has had plenty of moments where he has been snarky and smug at me. Neither of you are angels.

Yes that is right. When the State Police wanted the dudes name, Lanny would not tell me. The OSP asked me if they should go get it from him. I didn't want to do that to Lanny as I figured you and ABM knew the dude.
But.... You know the rest of the story. No one gave the fucker up. It was an error on my part, I should have let the OSP get the name from Lanny.

Police don't call from blocked phone numbers. The person claiming to be the police called me from one. I told them to get me a court order and I will give up the name. Never heard back.

I find it very funny how you're intentionally misremembering that argument and how you're trying to portray yourself as some sort of a victim.

If he had said both of those things like you claim you, I hope to god, would have been more upset over your wife being threatened than your boat being burned down. Yet your email to me only mentions the boat.

Also the same email has you wanting to hire a couple of dudes to hurt him.

Shortly after that email is when I received a phone call from a blocked number from someone claiming to be the police.

It's funny because it was a couple of dudes talking shit on the internet that went nowhere.

But it was also very good because it was the main inspiration for the No Personal Insults rule for this site.

Once they had the guys name, I was to meet him in the Right aid Parking lot in Salem, as he suggested in a subsequent post. He was already identified as committing a Class B misdemeanor on the Internet
Once he put a hand on me, it would rise to a felony. Like the OSP Detective said, you would be fully within your right to protect yourself. I intended to do just that.
The OSP escort was to be observing and take the dude into custody. But!!!! The DA need the name of the guy first before this action would be authorized. That didn't happened because Lanny would not give the fucker up.
I know he knew the name, for damn sure. But, I did not want to cause him any grief. I thought I could get the name from one of you guys. That was an error, the second error, no one gave him up!
