You cannot win this argument. Some people simply do not see what the team has done over the last three years as positive. Growth from within is slow. They want success right now. They do not like adding one player a year and trying to improve the team through the draft and small steady moves. There is no way the improvement you will see in Collins and Nurkic and Harkless will be enough to excite them. They will also not like the limited amount of improvement the Blazers could get from a Mid level acquired player. The TPE will not provide that huge splash they are looking for. Winning 50+ games and getting to the second round next year (If that happens) will still not be enough. Getting to the WCF is the only thing that some people will actually accept as a good season for this team. Which would be absolutely crazy good for this team to make it that far in 4 years from total rebuild. But it will not be enough even if it happens for some. You preferred missing the playoffs every year? Getting bounced in the first every year?
Olshey, Stotts, and Lillard have gotten us into the playoffs every year. They've gotten us to the 2nd round 2 of the last 4 seasons, even while losing our most dominant player 3 seasons ago.
Come on man...
My suggestion is to simply allow those differing opinions to simply be a different opinion.
