Neil will make an offer for AD, won’t he?

It will be something like ‘whoever you want but Lillard, McCollum, Nurkic, Collins and Simons are off limits’.

I'd bet he already tried that at the deadline

We should definitely offer CJ+Collins+25+2021 1st for AD. That’s the kinda move that wins championships. Plus it is a decent trade for the Pelicans, adding CJ and Collins to Zion on Jrue is a good core.

what if they want Lillard instead?

I been watching some last year that got my DVR. One notice about Harkless especially in the playoffs he struggled around the rim but after watching about 5 regular season he was having the same problem I really think it time to trade him. He had good defense rating in regular season but not so much in the playoffs. It was decent after OKC series but Denver and Golden State can of destroy it.

this is our best offer..

I guess it depends if NO wants a full rebuild with high picks or a retool with an established player like CJ and get Collins who is ready to break out

If I’m NO I’d go with established players as Zion should be ready to give 18+ a night already. Keeping Jrue and adding CJ Makes them a top 5 backcourt in the NBA.

No... thats gross haha.
Idk, those are two all-stars... Add Hood to the starting unit (full MLE) then go after Ariza in FA with the Bi-Annual? (If we can do that?) and Taj Gibson with Vet Min.

Dame / Mills
DeRozan / Simons
Hood / Ariza / Trent Jr.
Aldridge / Gibson / Layman
Nurkic / Collins / Skal

The lack of shooting is brutal. Theres not one good 3pt shooter on that team outside if Dame. Aldridge is overrated and doesnt efend particularly well. Derozan sucks defensively. Both disappear in crucial situations.

And Gibson and Ariza arent signing for that little.

They’re getting older, looking to contend. They could.

Tristan Thompson, Matthew Dellavedova, JR Smith, Cedi Osman for Evan Turner, Meyers Leonard, Moe Harkless, and 25.

We then waive JR (only 3.8m guaranteed for 19-20).

Gives us more space to sign Hood, and Osman is a good prospect (more impact than a rookie would give us).

Dame / Delly
CJ / Simons / Trent
Hood / Osman / Layman
Collins / Aminu
Nurk / Thompson / Skal

Obviously would have to sign some bigs with vet min or buying 2nd rounders

Ew. Fuck Thompson and Delly. Those mives make us worse.

Regardless of AD, I’d try these two

Expirings and #25 to either Minnesota or Charlotte for Dieng and #11, or Batum and #12.

I think Thompson+Osman would be really impactful in Portland. Hell even Delly could make an impact in the way Patrick Beverley does (not to the full extent, but he’s a huge nuisance..)
Osman is overrated as hell IMO. Thompson is a punk. Delly is too, he's dirty. No thanks.

Osman is only 24 though, he has a lot of room to improve and I think he will. He has Ingles/Peja ceiling and Bjelica/McDermott floor.

You can't trade a non-guaranteed contract like that anymore. It only counts as the $3.8 million in the trade unless it's guaranteed.

Yet every media source as well as the Cavs front office is reporting that you can.

@hoopsjock - I did some research - Because JR Smith signed under the old CBA before they changed the rules on non-guaranteed contracts, the new rules don't apply to his deal.
