And that would prove what? Seriously why do you have to resort to eye test and polls of biased Blazer fans to support your opinion. Just name some things that CJ is doing really well this year that can't be replaced?

How about taking pressure off of dame?
Do you think Brodgon would have the same impact as CJ does in that regard?

I dont see a point in arguing this point when we are set in our opinions?

If you want to call that taking my ball and going home, sure.
Who's arguing? We are proving that Brogdon is better and you are basically saying "nuh uh" with no basis to back it up.

THanks for the reminder

Misinformed people that hide behind stats get me riled up.

have a good day and go blazers

I know, you've already made it clear that you don't value the opinion of people who actually back up what they say.

You know, all you guys do is attack anyone that differs with your opinions. So what if he came back and made another post. This forum has become totally ridiculous as you can't even have a discussion with some of you. Gonna be a fun forum when all you have left is a handful of clones yapping about basketball.

Actually..........

I stated that I think Brogdon is better than CJ and he said that "If you think Malcolm Brogdon is considered in the same class as CJ then there is no reason for us to further this discussion."

So that shows that he wasn't willing to entertain anything that differed from his opinion. I made several posts with stats that backed it up in a non-attacking way and he couldn't support his opinion with any substance. Don't try to make people victims. I was willing to listen to his side and he didn't provide anything and then said several times that we are crazy and don't know what we are talking about.

What did we do wrong?

that's total horseshit

people were arguing about Brogdon vs CJ and the first insult hurled was by the guy you're defending when he said to hoopsjock:

sorry you anal f***.
.

when somebody goes that far, the gloves are obviously off

Yeah, I don't report people but I don't get how someone can say any of us attacked him?

I guess if showing stats is an attack....

Let's not get too clouded by stats here. Put CJ in that system next to the best player in the league, and he'll do better than Brogdan. How is this even an argument? You guys do realize the eye test is still valid, right? I work in science for a living and even I know stats cloud more than they reveal. Jesus. People actually believe Brogdan is better than CJ. Ugh

Just curious, what part of CJ's game would make him better than Brogdon in the Bucks system?

So CJ doesn’t already play next to an elite player, the fuck??

And I don’t see Giannis blitzed nearly as much as Lillard. Milwaukee has more weapons.

CJ vs Brogdon is like DeRozan vs Danny Green on a smaller scale.

CJ and DeRozan are floor raising players that can't really play their role and be a part of a championship team. Brogdon and Green on the other hand aren't as "talanted", but bring value in areas of the game that both contribute to winning, but also don't take away from / better maximize your more talented scorers.

I'd give the slight edge to CJ if we are comparing strictly player to player, but if we're talking in terms of building a championship level team...it's Brogdon for me.

I will say that CJ has a slightly better TO% with a higher Usage Rate. He definitely gets his shots without turning the ball over a lot which does have some value but it also usually means that he isn't passing much either.

how can you know that? Dame isn't as good as Giannis, but he's pretty good and always commands the attention of the opponent's best perimeter defender. And, in Portland's offense CJ has free reign to do what he wants and play "his" game.

even if he did get some kind of bump in his numbers in Milwaukee, there's no way his TS% goes from .536 to .626, or his winshares/48 goes from .089 to .170

it depends on how wide a variety of stats you are using in a comparison and if there is any consensus in the numbers

personally, I'm not convinced that Brogdon is better than CJ; it probably cuts the other direction. But if CJ is better, it isn't by much of a margin. There's not a lot doubt in my mind though that Brogdon would be a better fit with Dame in the back court, and that if the players were switched the Blazers would likely be just about as good as they currently are

one thing that hasn't been mentioned is that Brogdon will be RFA this summer; so he's about to get paid. The Bucks have some decisions with both Brogdon and Middleton being free agents

I did mention his RFA status in my original post on the matter.

I'm 100% sure CJ would still dribble dribble dribble and take Bad contested shots while teammates are open, once a ISO chucker allways a ISO chucker

In my opinion, CJ would be better suited on a team that he was the unquestioned ball handler, kind of like Oladipo going to Indiana. Going to a team like Milwaukee or the Lakers wouldn't make a noticeable difference in his stats other than he'd probably average less shot attempts per game. Obviously this is just a guess but he'd put up All-Star type numbers on a team like the Knicks.
