Trade Trade Talks 2017/2018

In an end of Winter Trade Meeting Synopsis by the MLB Panel, Dan O'Dowd former GM picked the Marlins as overall winners in the week. He then went into detail of additions & subtractions, how the reduced payroll would be a huge contribution to a new build. I missed most of the interview with Mattingly but did catch his final comments regarding the communication twixt he (Mattingly), Jeter and the Marlins GM.

^^^like I said earlier, I don't see why the Yanx would give up a truckload of prospects in return for a one year rental when they can simply wait till next year, and then if they really want him they can sign him for multiple years.
...as far as this year, I think the Yanx should let Andujar and someone else compete for the job...and if that doesn't work out well for 2018 they can look to bolster their 3B roster spot next year via free agency.

Why don't you ask Bronx Bombers Beat???

Getting Machado on a one year "rental" for prospects is ridiculous. Giving Andujar a shot at 3rd may well prove to be the move of moves. With Toe out there as utility guy the Yankees can stay real.

The Orioles are so worried that Machado is going to The Yankees. Just give him to us and you can stop worrying about the White Sox flipping him to us as per Bronx Bombers Beat.

Yankees are nearing a Deal with Gerrit Cole 97% chance Clint Frazier is involved as per The NY Times.

Phillies agree to terms with Carlos Santana as per Ken Rosenthal.

Rant Alert-!!!

Oh fkng NO, NO HELL NO- !!! -X- 10.....

Keep Red
Thunder, and fk Cole, imo Gerritt isn't the answer to any Bronx Prayer...

Cole's had one good year out of 5 seasons, in 015. His last 2 yrs imo (for a NL SP) have sucked.
016- 7W-10L, w/a 3.88 Era
017- 12W-12L, a 4.26 Era, with 31 Bombs served up.....

from what we've seen, (and I believe); a NL SP can add an entire point (1.0xx) to their ERA, when coming over from the NL, transitioning to the AL. So Trashman want's a prima donna, whose era's going to bloat up to 4.5xx-5.3xx....

IF, Trashman allows Red to become trade bait, such will begin our illustrious GM's dozen(th) downfall, especially for a sub-par SP, who btw- was a 1st round #1 Draft pick in 011. His , who's not lived up to his own hype....

I don't agree with this article noted below, not one bit..... Frazier is a blue chip prospect, and Trashman needs to unload Dinglefkngberry and Gardner first imho....even if the Yanx have to pay half of Dinglefks contract, get it done, and Keep Red Thunder....

appears Trashman's put his head back up his own ass-

Cashman is an Idiot.

The Yankees seem to be more active on the Trade Front for another Starter other than pursuing Sabathia. CC is getting offers elsewhere at this point he will probably not return as per Bronx Bombers Beat.

...CC got a away with it this past season but you just never know if that knee of his will hold up. especially since he'll be a year older.

Yankees sign Sabathia to a 1 Year Deal worth 10 Million as per Ken Rosenthal pending a Physical.

I think yanks still interested in cole and detroit kid. CC signing just gives them insurance they can't be held over a barrel in the trade

Frazier doesn't figure to get much playing time with yanks not looking to trade gardner and eventually like next year I think either stanton or judge will be the left fielder so I think trading frazier now while his value is high is smart. And in 2019 florial who the yanks and everyone else are gaga over may be ready for the big club. He's starting at double A this year and will probably move to triple A sometime after alstar game. CC is good insurance that yanks don't get held up by detroit and pitt and if they can pick up another young starter will be good insurance as with cc's knees and tanakas ligament hanging by a thread you never know when either or both go down.

Thanks for the Update Mel.

...I think the starting rotation is pretty much set...unless of course Cashman can catch another GM asleep at the wheel and get a great deal without giving up too much or if he can package a deal that includes Ellsbury or Gardner.

Hell, I will Pitch for free...

A signing bonus of a years supply of Cheetos, would be nice, but I'll still pitch for free. It's awful hard to hit a 40 mile per hour fastball... a 20 mile per hour change up, LOL.

As Yogi said, if Joe DiMaggio were alive today he wouldn't even be able to hit 200, after all he'd be over a hundred years old... something to that effect...!

Make sure they are Crunchy.

I get it, but I don't agree at all. Imho, I see Trashman trying to force a move, w/Red for Cole. I'm not a Cole fan; and Gardner, sure keep him around at least 'til 019, when he has a 2 Mil buyout. If he's needed for 019, he can be kept. It's only a matter of time before Brett's time is over soon.

Take Dinglefkngberry, whom no one want's, and the Bucs sure as hell don't need a rubber armed light hitting CF'r or OF'r period. Trade Dingles, and eat 6 Mil of it thru 2021. 6 measly mil for a non-producer. Let someone anyone bite the rest, if even possible. Addition by subtraction. Yanx need to borrow a page out of the Bums book, (tho' I despise this, but if you got the money to eat 6 mil, it's sure cheaper than the 21 Mil owed him)....

Gardner will likely be gone by the time Red is ready. No we won't need a LF'r w/Stanton. A UT OF'r??? Not really necessary either, as Red doesn't have the arm for CF. His bat 'tho could be special??? Let's see him play in AAA before he's dealt, esp for a 5 and dime SP..... jes' saying...

let's give all these top end prospects a chance before they're trade bait.... get rid of the excesses, i.e. Ells....

Atlanta, where players go to retire, die....?

a lop sided move for a guy the Bums gave up on as a bona-fide prima donna, over paid whiner. Kazmir's washed up, as is Mc2.

As for Gonzo, sad to see the Don-ito Beisbol of Chavez Ravine leave his Vet Leader role, his presence irreplaceable.... #23.

Kemp coming back to the soap box, ssshhhiiiiiittttt, just when I thought I'd seen it all; nothings sacred in LA....:smiley-pat:

Mitch Moreland signed with the Red Sox as per Ken Rosenthal.
