The longer Mike Moustakas market stays the way it is the more likely The Yankees have a chance to offer him a 1 year deal to fill the 3B gap as per Dan Federico.
.....^^^^ (I had too much time on my hands, i.e. what follows)=
I really thought Moose was headed to Anaheim, or Frisco, back home in LA, so most thought with his glory HS years being in San Fernando.
I know it's hard to take any Bor-ASS client serious, but personally I have long pulled for the Moose, running loose in the Bronx; I'd be happy w/him. I do believe he still can bring his b'vag up, while hitting 40hr's. His obp is a bit too low, yet he's proven at times he hits when critical, and his glove play has at times sparkled, from H.S. on, while hitting strides of slumps, followed by hot streaks.
another thing has always concerned me about Moose. As a Soph QB, he broke his ankle, which almost ruined his BB career; and ended his 2 sport endeavor. His injury bug of 016, knee, hope last yr proved he's healed.
I've never been a fan of So Cal MLB Teams, less High School and University baseball teams. Moose played for Chatsworth H.S. (Dewey Evans also played for t/same H.S.).
Moose did something no H.S. player had/has ever done prior or since. He hit 52 Bombs, a CA St. record, 24 in his Sr yr, a Ca St. H.S. record...

Not that LA/CIF has a monopoly on players, no more than many other locations. When one looks at per capita of players per location, LA's over-saturated, yet per capita is no better than anywhere else. Some of the best H.S. ballplayers I've seen have come out of SEC schools, ntm- TX and the Plains. But then ballplayers come from all necks of the woods, non better than the other. A city of 20 mil peeps, (counting suburbs), will have it's share of players, who have been noticed since H.S.
Moose was drafted out of H.S. w/a 4 Mil signing bonus....
I love the kid, just not sure if he's the right fit for NY, but I'm not against a one year rental, or even a long term deal. Screw Longoria, Cozart Frazier and Machado....let the Moose run loose in the Bronx, .....
