I'm being serious here.....PLEASE explain to me what this is. These are real people? They will actually be playing basketball, or video games? I'm confused how this guy above is a PF and averages 9 rebounds? When and where did he average this and how does he have a position. My son plays 2K, but that's my extent of knowledge of the game. Please explain.

These are real people that play the NBA 2k video game. In league play (as I understand it), each player controls a single person on their team at a specific position. So, for instance, the guy the Blazers took with their first pick always plays as a center. As such, he is now drafted to control the center for the Blazers Gaming 2K team.

Thanks man. So these guys will play all at the same time against others? I've just played against my son, but you are a whole team.

Yeah, that's my understanding, that it will be 10 people playing simultaneously, each one controlling a single player.

Just saw these guys will make more than the G-League players.
 
Was going to make a joke that these guys have more followers on Twitter than HCP but he has 1300 followers. WTF?

Ouch! Looks like not everyone is convinced of Blazer5Gaming's draft strategy. Though it does seem that they're grading more on reputation than anything else.

 
Trail Blazers season may be over, but Blazer5 Gaming season starts this week! Who's hyped??


 
First tournament of the NBA 2K League is today at 2:00.

 
They've got the league broken up into 4 groups for this tournament, and one group will basically play round robin each of the next 4 days
  • Group A: Tuesday 5/1 - Pistons GT, Bucks Gaming, Kings Guard Gaming, Cavs Legion GC
  • Group B: Wednesday 5/2 - Wizards District Gaming, Jazz Gaming, Knicks Gaming, Warriors Gaming Squad
  • Group C: Thursday 5/3 - Magic Gaming, Raptors Uprising GC, Blazer5 Gaming, 76ers GC
  • Group D: Friday 5/4 - Heat Check Gaming, Mavs Gaming, Celtics Crossover Gaming, Pacers Gaming, Grizz Gaming
Looks like they'll then have the top 2 each group face off in an 8-team playoff this weekend. Everything should be streamed on the channel in my previous post.

I watched most of the 1st game yesterday and a few minutes of the other games. I'm not a gamer, don't play video games at all, but for some reason I got kinda sucked in to it, it was fairly entertaining. I was surpised how short the games are, only 6 minute quarters. I assumed they'd play a full NBA game. I'll definitely check out our Blazer5 team tomorrow.

Thinking I might kill the second half of my morning replaying the games I couldn't watch. That's another nice part about it being on Twitch.
 
Day 2 is streaming live. Definitely interesting watching day 1, seeing some of the cream rise to the top as the day moved on. "Ramo" on the Pistons squad and "Hood" on Cavs GC were pretty well incomparable. Also--if you like seeing inside play, this e-NBA might appeal to you. Posts feature a lot more significantly in 2K gaming than in real NBA these days.
