Couldn't we all write to YouTubeTV and get them to add Root? They may be already considering it.For accessibility and the amount of platforms, root is a drastic downgrade. No streaming services, Hulu and YouTube are out as options.
It's like the Comcast thing from years ago.
Looks like it'll be official by Wednesday.
Son of a bitch.
Another way for the Blazers to give fans less options? My goodness, the really seem to want to make it difficult and limiting. If Comcast is the only option....that is an epic fail.
Trying to kill fan interest before selling and moving the team.
I just moved back to Oregon (central). How is it that it was cheaper and easier for me to watch the Blazers will in an external market thru league pass than it is while in the state?
I really hope there is a viable streaming option because I can't even get Comcast where I live.
yes, but it's a hassle getting it hooked up to the TV and quality is inconsistent. Also, it lags even live boxscores on Yahoo/ESPN by like 2 mins. Kinda annoying.I watched some of the free pirated links when I was on vacation in Mexico and was really impressed with the quality.
this has to happen. im not getting cable again after cutting the cord 10 yrs agoThere has been rumors that the NBA is setting things up for a major streaming service like Netflix or Amazon to get all the rights for all the teams. If this Root Sports thing turns out to be true it will be interesting to know the term of the contract and if the Blazers or NBA have a buyout.

When this garbage happened with Comcast years ago there weren’t options for me out here. So it was one big middle finger from the Blazers.
now that I finally have YTTV and was able to watch Blazers for a season. They go for a quick cash grab again. But I have options now. So when I don’t pay more to switch at least this time it’s one big middle finger from me to the Blazers.![]()
Hulu doesn't have live sports?

They used to get so much time and decent (not a ton sure) amount of money out of me. 20+ games a year from Hood River. Through some lean 21-61 type years even. But now… nah. I think I’ve been to 1 game in the last 6 or 7 years. But hey if they make it up elsewhere good on them I guess. But def a middle finger from me.Just continues to prove they don't give a shit about the fans.
Dont forget it's a entertainment business, not just a sporting contest. If I dont like the food and/or service Ill go somewhere else. If my wife wants me to watch a movie that doesnt sound good to me, I wont watch.Just continues to prove they don't give a shit about the fans.
