He did hedge his story a bit, saying that the deal isn't signed and these things can change last minute. However, he also said that the difference between this rumor and past rumors is that he's hearing it from the NBCSNW and Root camps.

I don't see how you could fit in the Blazers on the current root channel with MLB and NHL already on there. I think they agreed on the show that Root Oregon/Portland would have to be a new channel.

For accessibility and the amount of platforms, root is a drastic downgrade. No streaming services, Hulu and YouTube are out as options.
