Zombie Trail Blazers shaking up their broadcasting department

Danny's OK. He's a Blazers fan like most of us. Just has more access to the team. Jaynes' distaste for Dame , comes out in almost every back handed compliment , or smoozing over another PG. It drives me nuts. But to the hateful 3, he is a God. I do enjoy his takes on other topics though. I prefer Rip City Radio. Except for the Golf crap. Just started listening to Danny And Dusty's show a number of months back. Dusty spends way to much time on the All Things Ducks. I like the Ducks and Beavs . But don't enjoy all the recruitment BS talk. Their Pro Football takes are meh. But hey , they're all getting paid to do what a lot of us wish we could do as a job. Bravo!

Danny's the worst blazers reporter I've heard in a long time and that's saying something. He offers nothing.

we now get paranoid everytime the Blazer TV crew cuts away to horse around. We don't know how much basketball they're not letting us watch.

who's ever idea it was to add stress to Blazer fan's television experience, needs to have their head examined.

I think keeping the actual game action off the television is an attempt to reduce the stress of everyone.

They could go back to this?

Do you guys remember in a recent game how they kept the score bug off the screen as the game slipped away, seemingly intentionally? Good times.

I would like to know @THE HCP 's position on this? How do they handle that kind of thing? Of course I would never expect KC to speak to Hurd like that? Maybe Brooke might light someone up but nobody else has the Cajones.

Wow! Ian Eagle is considered to be one of the best play by play guys but he's going at The Czar Mike Fratello who is nominated and likely will be inducted into the hall of fame this year. I think that's incredibly unprofessional of Eagle. He should have addressed that in a post game meeting or something.

I guess Ian & Fratello have a history of smacking' each other around. This clip is from 6 years ago..

In Eagle's defense, it's pretty common for a PBP guy to ask a color guy what something means for the audience's edification if the color guy makes a reference that's beyond basketball 101. Maybe Fratello forgot this notion earlier.

Blazers Broadcasting getting some love.

I feel like on TV, the in game info has been presented better than it has been in the past, and I like some of the general additions to the broadcast.
I love when they show the graphic of who entered and exited the game for each team. I often am not listening, or half listening to the broadcast, so if they say it, I don't catch it. So them displaying it is really nice. And, they don't cover the entire screen to do it, or do it on half the screen. It just flashes up along the score section on the bottom for the most part. I think they've done a good job overall this year, though I know the popular thing is to complain about it not fitting exactly what we want. I think sometimes we forget that we're not the full "normal" target for the games.

That replay guy sucks though.

Trail Blazers should be shaking up the ownership, front office, coaching and roster departments.

If anyone cares, this broadcast took place on April 12th, 2012.
Nets were underperforming that season. Brook Lopez was injured, their 2nd best player was Jordan Farmar, and "Humpy Time" Kris Humphries was stealing all the highlights with nasty dunks. New Jersey was losing a bunch of games, and their announcers were a little more chippy then usual watching the Celtics pancake the Nets.

we missed 3 Celtics possesions tonight so Portland could show "other things". The Celtics scored on all 3. We just heard C's fans in Portland cheering, and their score going up.

I hope NBA TV used the Celtics broadcast. I'd be upset if the opponent was jacking my team's live action to show highlights and interviews.

NBA TV used the Blazers broadcast. Hurd was running off at the mouth like they accidentally doubled his normal dose of amphetamines. Sometimes he's just more than I can take.

It's not the amphetamines so much as the excess Toradol they're trying to use up now that Payton is off the roster.
