I was gonna ask what year they’ll pass usDon't watch the Houston SL team if you don't want to feel bad about our team.
River,I thought he played an unselfish game and read the floor well...his dish to Beasley was sweet...I missed the first qtr so if he stank that up I wouldn't know...looked like he was trying to play defense though
You mean this one?I saw a Blazer roster chart today that had Harry Giles listed as still a Blazer...did we sign him again?
I'm jealous! I had family day with the wife, son, daughter in law and grandson..shot hoops...played ping pong..some board games and ordered some kick ass Thai food for lunch...great day...we thought about going fishing but decided to hang at the boy's houseRiver,
Just got done with some bass fishing with son & grandson. We did well, all small mouth.
Of course we talked a lot of Blazers too.
Holy Shit Kai Jones
Trendon Watford remind anyone else of a young Boris Diaw?
OK, I get it. You don't like the guy. But his 18-19 stats say that he put up 1.5 3s per game, and made 40% of them.... and 18-19 was a long time ago now. He just shot 90% while being guarded. He always does this in summer league. He's C.J. McCollum, just passes 10x less, defends 10x worse, and is 10x less efficient. Check his stats in 2018-2019 for the Bulls... Dude was horrible. He's one of those score-first guards that always dominates summer league but is an inefficient chucker who thinks he has no teammates on the NBA level.
Elleby looks like a role player. Blakeney looked like a guy who's a star in SL who won't get to be a star in the regular season. So yes, it makes sense to prefer Elleby because he knows he's supposed to hustle and fill in the gaps.
Tell you a guy from another SL team that REALLY intrigues me - Trent Forrest of Utah. He was a 2-way player for them last year but they picked up TWO of Baylor's guards in the draft. I know sometimes players on one team's SL team get signed by a different NBA team halfway through Summer League - I would be very happy if that happened with Forrest.

Hes an ancillary role player who is smart and does the things that go unnoticed. I think he's the kinda player thats better with good teammates. Never expected him to light up the SLCJ is so bad. Not impressed. Not looking like he will earn actual NBA minutes right now
This only works with Neil’s second round picks.
Simons is in year #4 and is still stuck on the fringe rotation player treadmill.
What the fuck do you expect when C.J. and Dame play so many minutes and the 3 is Norman Fucking Powell? JFC! The way you express disappointment for a back end 1st rounder who was the youngest person in his draft class is just fucking pathetic.

Also it seemed the team flew commercially vegas. What amateur hell is this

Okay, but 77% of his shots were twos which were all extremely inefficient. You can find a 3pt specialist that isn't a black hole, doesn't force tough 2s, and plays a little defense. I'd rather have George King.OK, I get it. You don't like the guy. But his 18-19 stats say that he put up 1.5 3s per game, and made 40% of them.... and 18-19 was a long time ago now. He just shot 90% while being guarded.
I'm not saying he's an allstar, but I am intrigued. I'm looking forward to seeing his next 3 summer league games. Unfortunately, I won't get to see them - I'll be on the Pacific Crest Trail. Maybe a summer league recap video? I'd love to see one.
edit: forgot to mention that he apparently has a great work ethic.
#FuckingBlazersBroadcastingCommentating for this game is god awful.
I missed the game. Was Chauncey there?
I just got done watching the SL game had to DVR it and a few NON Over reaction takes after ONE game :
1) Greg Brown III -- He is raw but I can see upside from him -- I think he should start the year in the G-League if possible
2) Beasley -- Mildly impressed by him but part of me thinks if I were to squint I might think he was Melo lite
3) CJ -- when I watch him out there I see SOME talent but more often then naught it looks like he is playing in a rec league game or something kind of all over the place in a bad way at times ( maybe a tad lost )
4) Faried -- IF the Blazers do not make a trade or sign another big or hell even if they do -- I WANT him on the bench cause I swear if we had him out there OVER Kanter in the playoffs we would have been in a much better position. He does the little things that this team is missing so i could see him being a 6 to 12 min a game player or maybe none but he is someone you NEED on your bench that can be called on at any moment. Also I was surprised to find out he is only 31 ( will be 32 in Nov ) but I thought he was more like 34 / 5 to be honest.
There were other things I liked player wise but these were my highlights but got one more thought but more as a team observation ....
Now I know it's just SL and play can be sloppy at times but at times I saw something I did not see much of last year -- Defense and hustle -- fact is I had to google what is done when WE did not have the ball cause seeing D is such a foreign concept for the Blazers I had to refresh my memory on what it was ( LOL ) -- ok that is a slight exaggeration but not much.
