I don't get the reaction here. He's a serviceable, end of bench guy - a dime dozen in the league. No big deal.

Not disagreeing here - but he was significantly better than others who are still on the roster (Walker, Little, Keon, Williams).
Why not move on from one of those other guys who are not as good?

Rosters don't have any offseason limit; they have to be cut to 15 around October.

Yeah its possible they think the roster issue would bleed into the regular season, this smells more like the Vulcans/Jody being cheap.

Watford is a tweener...when he got big minutes we got our butt kicked. We want to contend, we need more talent and size. Nice guy..not a needle mover.will benefit from playing overseas where he can crack a rotation and make some money. We didn't let him walk because of money, we let him go because we want the roster spot.

He is certainly not a dime-a-dozen end-of-bench PF. He has skills. I do like him better than Walker and Williams. But he is not better than Little IMO.

Keon could fill a need when Ant is traded. (as a backup SG, not PG)

Someone said Watford was not very good and he is limited but has a little potential but still surprising cause he was really liked by fans but more I think about it this has to be setting up for more moves. IF the Blazers really were doing a rebuild and/or going cheap there is no reason to release him now we have to put our faith in Cronin. I know I said it put our faith in Cronin but hopefully the others around him will balance out his stupid but this ramps up my being nervous cause now we will see what's next and with Cronin that is like a mystery box on "Let's Make a Deal" could be something good or we could get ZONKED -- LOL
