You're William Hung? Now we have another celebrity the equal of KingSpeed.
I work for UPS and it would be very easy to have a manager, or employee, lose/damage ballots coming from certain districts that lean heavily Dem/Republican. I would have to assume that UPS would need to setup an area where only certain employees handle the Ballots and its all recorded/under close supervision but it could still pretty easily happen and be made to look like an accident.
UPS is already raising prices, they do it almost every year, and if there is an insane influx of deliveries because USPS goes under then you can bet your ass they will raise prices again by a lot. The Argument that UPS can't or won't raise their prices because of FedEx won't matter. UPS will raise the prices and wait until FedEx fails to deliver their influx of volume in time and the big accounts start coming back to UPS even with the raised prices. Iv seen that scenario play out again and again. FedEx inability to deliver on time when they get an influx of volume is why you wont see an Amazon package delivered by FedEx unless UPS subcontracted it out to them, otherwise it'll be delivered by Amazon themselves or UPS.
The Roseburg VA sends my meds through the USPS...my VA is in Eugene but I have to call Roseburg for my meds.Management or employees losing ballots? Not unless they want to get fired. The system UPS has and the accountability that comes with being a driver or management I highly doubt that would happen. Only way I could see something like that happening is in the part time ranks. Once that package is scanned into the system, packages don’t just disappear. Maybe at FedEx where their standards are very low.
Also, FedEx gave up Amazon because it wasn’t cost effective for them. UPS should do the same. It would bury Amazon in its shit and there would be a backlog forever.
On another note, I’ve read people mentioning medications. UPS has been delivering medications as long as I’ve been there. Both Next day and ground. A large account with the VA.
It would cost someone a job but i'm sure to possibly swing an election that isn't that big of a deal. Also you pointed out part timers and that would be most likely were its from, wouldn't be once its in a drivers package car. Packages do get lost in the system or misplaced and end up having to get paid out, while thats not a common occurance it does happen. What i'm talking about is more the ballot boxes getting "damaged" by mishandling or an accident occurring.Management or employees losing ballots? Not unless they want to get fired. very good point....I hadn't thought about mail in ballots
I'll bet that all of us in here view ourselves as those who debate with common sense without twisting things around.Care to not cherry pick and quote the whole quote?
How is this saying I think they should turn a profit. I merely used someone else's ideology because he says the reason for it is they shouldn't.
Read several other posts where I have maintained a consistency that they aren't here to make a profit, but they should be able to change in order to not rely on fed suppliments.
I said because someone else thinks they shouldnt get a profit they shouldnt update to be efficient is flawed logic.
Nice try at twisting my words around SLy, I thought more of you than to stoop to the common denominator that most members already do here.
Maybe include the post I was responding to for context???
Is there anyone in here left who debates with common sense without twisting things around?

FedEx lost the Amazon account a few years ago during peak season because they told Amazon they couldn't handle additional Volume that Amazon wanted to move through them. Thats when Amazon moved it all to UPS and last year they stopped all shipping through other companies and now exclusively ships through UPS for what they can't ship themselves. Its very true Amazon isn't a cost effective account, a big chunk of our % through the ground service but a very small % of overall revenue.
