Gop is joke? Who the fuck shuts down the US govt over protecting criminal aliens? I know a lot of people that had sympathy for the dreamers, and this episode just evaporated all of that. Here is Kommifornia, our Attorney General is likely going to get the Joe Arpaio curbstomp from Trump admin like the AZ sheriff got from Obama.


You can hate Trump all you want, but you have to see that this was the kind of payback "WIN" his base was craving. Shumer really screwed up because like many that hate Trump they can't see past that. This was textbook Art of the Deal from Trump, any idiot could have seen this coming if they treated it as business and not personal. Chuck will never shake that "handle", he's been branded and shutdown brinksmenship has effectively been taken off the table. In the end, we all win for that.

The government shutdown is not a victory for anyone. For Trump to claim it as as one as well as the other GOP, especially the several GOP who did not vote for it, is another FK up of epic proportions. End of story! There is no bipartisanship anymore in DC, which will be both parties downfall love them or hate them I despise them both...

This is not just about DACA or Dreamers, fk them. This is about another Govt screw up, with Fed Agencies barely functional if at all. Both sides pointing fingers and blame.... this is going nowhere fast, or was Lenin right? "Give 'em enough rope; and they'll hang themselves".... I hope not.

^^^This...there was no "art of the deal"...instead, it was a case of "the art of the compromise".

...in the Senate 5 Dems voted YES and 5 Republicans voted NO...but our resident Trump apologist wants to blame only the Dems for the short-lived shut down.

...Meanwhile, Trump was in Mar A Lago where he's spent nearly 1/3 of his time since being elected, celebrating with a $100, 000 per couple dinner (for $250,00 the lucky couple could actually sit at the table with The Donald)...yeah, Trump has his priorities in order...some leadership, eh?

...of course Trump can fire Mueller, but if it is found that he did in order to obstruct justice, that is something he cannot do...this should not need explaining.

...Matts, actually I did not watch the SOTU address live because I figured I could get the highlights yesterday morning. But sadly, for me, there were no real highlights. Before the address it was reported that Trump would provide an "eye opening" statement concerning N Korea but it never happened...he also failed to touch on the Russian election meddling.
...I'd also like to know why there has not been more focus and pressure on Trump to finally release him his tax returns...there is absolutely NO reason for him not to do so, unless of course, he's got something to hide.

...Trump's SOTU was uninspiring...and the Dems' behavior during the address was embarrassing...our current system is fucked.
 
As bad as the Dem vs Rep circus is, the CNN vs Fox coverage is just as funny, in a sad and demented sort of way.
 
Trump clearly has something to hide but some of his hypocritical GOP sheep are abetting him...I am so pissed and disgusted with our government.
