Mueller Ascends into the sky w/Umbrella, after Trump Family Promises They've Learned Lesson About Honesty.....

WASHINGTON—Saying that each of them would always have a place in his heart, special counsel Robert Mueller reportedly ascended into the sky with an umbrella Monday after the Trump family promised they had learned their lesson about honesty. “And now, my dear friends, it is time for me to leave you,” said Mueller, opening the large umbrella he had pulled from his magical brief bag and slowly rising into the air as the Trump family tearfully waved goodbye and assured the special prosecutor that the valuable wisdom he had bestowed upon them through song and enchanted adventures would never be forgotten. “I must go and teach other little boys and girls about the importance of always telling the truth. Remember, Trump family: Honesty is the best policy.” At press time, the Trump family was reportedly making sure to cover up any evidence of having any knowledge or understanding about morals and consequences.

courtesty of the Onion News Network.....

Bob Corker initially voted NO on the tax bill but a subsequent change in the bill that personally benefits him financially, and whaddaya know, he changed his vote to YES.

...can't make this shit up.

Kinda like Ben Nelson in 2009 for Obamacare...

Got a feeling Corkers vote will be more helpful in the long run.

So awesome that i will be PAYING about 1k more in taxes in 2016.

Funny thing the two partners in my firm who were pro trump took a look at the final bill and each of them would get hurt to the tune of 4k to 6k in additional taxes.

All three if us are middle class in the sense of middle class new yorkers.

Fuck Trump.....fuck the republicans who went along with this plan....

New York and California should lrave the union tell the rest of the country to go fuck themselves and keep the majority of our federal tax dollars within our states.

Ok unrealistic rant over

> However, you had done well! I'm from Jersey so I suffer on a scale like yours. NY and NJ gets so taxed that the founding fathers of this country would puke. I would endorse the corporate tax cut base to 21% but the House has to be real and cut the defense, Foreign Aid and agricultural budgets.

...GOP should be ashamed of this farce of a tax bill but instead, they're slapping each other on the back over it.

...for one, I'll be glad when "the party of Lincoln" eventually implodes...not sure what will come out of it afterwards, but anything would be better than this.

...I'm all for that. Down here in my neck of the woods I'm so tired of seeing so many "farmers" farming to fail. (I'm ashamed to admit that I'm related to 2 of them) What I mean is, they plant cotton for example, and then pretty much turn their back on the seed with no intention of really harvesting a profitable crop, because after all, that would require actual work. Instead, they seem to stay on permanent vacation but still somehow manage to get brand new $60K 4x4 trucks every year. (compliments of Uncle Sam)
...So how do they do it?...simple, they buy crop insurance knowing in advance that the government will compensate them for their sorryness. This goes on and on every year. Don't get me wrong, I understand the need for crop insurance because I know some years are simply bad years for virtually anyone in agriculture. But hey, if you go 5-6-7 years in a row filing a crop insurance claim, you're either incredibly unlucky or you're too stupid or too lazy to be a farmer.
...like most all government programs, they are easy to take advantage of.

"For the average family who’s working paycheck to paycheck, looking for ways to be hopeful about their future, to have an extra night for dinner out at a restaurant, this tax-reform package cuts their taxes by nearly 60 percent.” - Tim Scott R-SC

This is the massive tax cuts they were talking about....a whole extra night for dinner out....what he didnt mention was you would be spending that extra night out at chick Fla

'Rant Alert-

I've never forgotten this plight of Insuring Crop's....

I told this to my Dad quit awhile back, who was raised on a farm in Western KS; from 1934-1954. Way back then, the average farmer 'share-cropped' or leased land from the bigger land baron's. A land baron typically owned 100K acres, leasing 10K acre parcels out. The land baron's could afford to drill for irrigation, and afford the pricy new Combines, Tractors, et al. (A top of the line combine today can easily run Joe Farmer 1Mil $$$). The avg Joe Farmer, depended on rains, and NO Insurance was ever available to them, not way back then. This single act alone, if I'm not mistaken a Carter Act, has changed American Ag into an entire beast, not for the good either....As well as paying wheat farmers, not to grow at all, due to an over abundance of wheat on the Intl-Global market, devaluing US grains...

As for Defense. Money's been spent incredibly ignorantly by previous admins. Politics in G.W.'s, and as much during Reagan's War Hawk era. Actually Nixon fkd up NASA/DOD imho, as much as any, a story for a latter day. Fed DOD $$$ have been spent like they minted the money excusively for the DOD/NASA also. I could rant all day long on program's funded, that were more than idiotic to fund.

1- of dozens, Regan ordered 337 AV-8 Brittish Harrier's co-built by McDonnel Douglas. Of the 337 purchased, 147 have crashed. A Vertical Take Off and Landing Harrier, i.e. V/TOL, which led the way to the F-35, another boondogle, over budget by 6 yrs, and last I heard, a year ago, the DOD has invested over 700 Billion on a AC fighter, of which our Contractor's had much better prototypes of non STOVL AC. A STOVL is not necessary period. Seems like not a soul on earth knows, NOT ONE BRITTISH HARRIER AV-8 HAS EVER GONE INTO A LIVE COMBAT UTILIZING ITS VERTICAL TAKE OFF FOR ASSAULT OR COMBAT, NOT ONE FKNG ONE..... a very un-necessary program, one of dozens...

2- The F-111 Aardvark, tho' built by Johnson/JFK, Reagan re-comissioned using the fleet. The F-111 looks like a mini B-1B, was built as a fighter, yet wound up being more of a mini-bomber. These flew sorties for B-1B missions. Even were the original chase plane for the B-1's deliveries from Plmd, to EAFB, from Rockwell/NAAO to EAFB. We often were awaiting maintenance on those lame fkrs, as they sat engines running, and leaking fuel like a strainer. I can't say how many B-1B test flights were scrubbed, due to the incompetence of the F-111's. For every single man hourx of flight, the F-111 required a costly 120+ hours of manpower/mainentance per plane, per hour of flight. (compare to a F-18's 6-10 hrs, 10 for E,F&G models, 30% larger fighters). Rockwell got so fed up with this issue, they literally went out and bought, then refurbished 6 each ancient but great to see flying, F-106's (old delta wingers), for thier chase planes....

Under G.W. the prez alone, against the Chief and Armed Service Committe's advice, opted for a lesser pos AC, one that could never fulfill its reqm'ts or supposed abilities. Costlier by far, than it's superior competition, (i.e. non-STOVL AC), costing taxpayers 3 digit billions of $$, this is 100% a bad/waste of a program period. The epitome of DOD out of control spending. Had G.W. opted for the superior AC i.e the YF 23, btw- (not built in TX, rather built in Plmd Ca at the USAF's only Final Assy/Instl. Flt Test Facility or AFB), rather than his home state of Dallas. Yes, the United States of TX. Shortly thereafter he strong armed the Senate, and wooed the DOD and HASC to believe they req'd a pos STOVL F-35, also built in Dallas....

The F-35 is the most unecessary AC in the USAF/USMC and more importantly NATO's large arsenal. Keep in mind not one T/VOL and STOVL AC has ever engaged in combat, from the vertical take off, landing or returned vertically to it's home, let alone it can't like an A-10, take out tanks. Tho' it was billed to fly stationary and pick off tanks, while pilots struggle to use its vertical take offs and landings, let alone stationary flights in one stalled position. Our Govt's 700 Billion $$$ boondoggle investment of Y2K....

(yet don't get me wrong, Rcagan, and the US/DOD needed strong resurrection, after Carter's dismantling of the Armed Services).e more than any saw the USAF receive a YF-22 that was a dog in comparison to it's competition. The JSF Harrier like F-35 was also a boondogle, an AC that's not necessary or feasible to replace any AC when it's a STOVL. The Brittish Harrier fleet, last I checked had crashed at an alarming rate of 40% in both the states and Britian's Royal Air Force, incl NATO/Canda also.....The YF-23 was never perplexed with initial probs of the YF-22 (built in Dallas).

When the House Armed Services Committee, (HASC) tells two competitor major contractors, that 50% of a program will be awarded to the Co., that can meet schedule, for the initial flight testing, and the 23's on the tarmac engines running, ready for the green light to fly. While the 22's execs that morn plead with the HASC/USAF for a 6 mos extension, which was never held against them. On top of the 6 mos ext fiasco, both F-22's crashed before flight testing was completed. The F-23 blew away the 22 in all testing flights, in every fkng one, and what happens, G.W. pulls the strings....

Rob you know the 23 is gonna have to get built now the Chinese have stolen and copied the 22.

This is where DNA based data storage is going to be really handy. No more file archives to hack.

with Boeing/McDonnel Douglas/Rockwell all Boeing owned, and with Boeing's CEO earlier in the yr, stating: Boeing has departed the Fighter Business for good....

looks like perhaps an in for NG's Gen-6, looks more like a Gen-7 newer variant of the superior YF-23.

when the ATF contract was awarded: I with 100 other peeps were in the YF-23 Hangar at EAFB. 1 Hangar which both the F-22 and F-23 shared. One Hangar, with a 50 foot barrier wall b/t the high bay, seperating both birds, both companies, and workers. The moment we got the fatal news, quit a few guys blew up dozens of latex gloves, with the fingers taped down, less the middle finger; then filled 'em up with Helium. One they arose, a few guys with air guns blew those gloves over that barrier wall....... Lockheed never retaliated with their pos.... Justice was not served that day, and rarely is; when politics come into play on contract awards....

...like I've been saying, this is the sort of thing that makes other countries hate us...we simply cannot force our will on other countries without repercussions.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/21/world/middleeast/trump-jerusalem-united-nations.html

Sorry Ron, but I don't agree. The world hates us regardless unless we are writing the checks or bailing out their asses with our military.

Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, period. There is no state of Palestine, it's merely an unincorporated ethic group, middle East version of an Indian tribe.

When they stop being terrorists maybe they will learn to make money via casinos in Gaza.

^^^Tom, the point is not about the Jews per say, the article was simply an example of why so many other countries hates the US.

...my point is that the US has historically been hypocritical by trying to force our will and our system upon other countries while at the same time having our own problems and injustices going on within our own borders...this has been going on for many many years.

...and sorry but wasting money by "writing checks" has done us no good...and how many countless American lives have been wasted or been in vain over ill-advised "police actions" ?....go ahead and try to justify to the parents, wives, and children of fallen soldiers who were either killed or physically/mentally scarred in Korea and Viet Nam, and is also currently playing out in other parts of the world.

...the US needs to stop trying to be "the policemen of the whole world" and clean up our own house before worrying about other people's houses.

Edit; here's another example of the US sticking its nose where it doesn't belong...the list is almost endless.

I've felt the same and have been saying this for close to 40 yrs. If a Free Nation is too become the model of Life, Economy and Govt., for other nations to follow, then the best method is to lead by example. In lieu of forcing our will upon other Nation's; which we deem as vital interests of our own, i.e. Iraq w/its Oil, Poland, Jordan & dozens of other countries, for their strategic positions, and resources.....

then we're creating enemies, faster than we're making alliances of friends....

:clap::biglaugh:

My eldest Son did this to our Middle Son about 25 yrs ago. The eldest brings in a box at Xmas Eve, puts it under the tree, and the house began to smell like Dog Shit. I asked the eldest wtf is in that wrapped gift, he confessed; which allowed the boys to open their gifts early.....lol...:devilwink:

https://www.factcheck.org/2017/12/guide-tax-changes/

Well that wasnt supposed to happen...gee on the verge of massive tax cuts a huge employer lays off employees

^^^^^

It's gonna' take me weeks, maybe months to wade thru all this shit, and figure out where I really stand, again.... :nerd:

I've done my taxes less 3 times over 44 yrs now. It's one of those things that just once you've figured it out; know the layout of the law/land, it all changes....

I'd actually see a lesser tax bracket to come, than in yrs prior, tho' I'm not going to believe it until I see it. Reason being: Compared to previous years, my tax bracket would drop by 9-11%, and that much I've rarely seen happen over night or at all. The Govt always has its hands in our pockets. The way prez Tweeter slips the U-AHCA into the Tax Bill, will be no different than how he slips us the fist to us; while making it look like a tax break, of which he will prosper, we supposedly will, but never do...

His version of a tax break, or any other thing for that matter, is smoke and mirrors, backroom deals, lies and selling us all out to big business.

When it comes to politics he's a fish out of water, nah- he's a fkng piranaha on the american people; in the midst of the swamp he enlarged.

...the GOP and Trump are complete frauds...and I cannot understand why there are still people who blindly support them.

I saw these, ..... and I'm sure Donald would say Fake News.

I heard Mark Cuban say awhile ago, Bannon and Cuban met more than once, and swapped stories of how off the mark Trump is....I'd loved to of been a fly on the wall....

and here's a bit more-

Trump told the NYT today that virtually every Democrat has exonerated him in the Russia probe. I’m starting to think he actually believes what he says, which is a far worse scenario than Trump simply being a pathological liar. He’s nuts.

I agree that he believes it. Which, while scary, is helpful to know. By the same token, my take on his comments about being able to "do what he wants" w/ DoJ:
