Some act like putting UP a wall is necessary, while History and others have seen the need to tear DOWN other walls. ie (1st): The Iron Curtain and Berlin Wall, ie JFK's infamous speech: "Ich bin ein Berliner"; as well as Nixon flying behind "the red curtain" under total TSAR sealed lips, during a stay in Pakistan, unbeknownst to everyone.....JFK called for removal of the wall, and 'Check Point Charlie' showdown was not just for fun.....(don't tell me you can't compare), check how many Germans ran out of East Berlin, before the wall was built...
Then ya' had Reagan calling on "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall"....of course it was all for political posturing, as only Gorbachev could of given the order...yet Reagan called it, tear the wall down, not build one 50 feet high, and charge Mexico for its construction, and maintenance, (of which is a whole other issue), .... I've no doubt a better system should be put in place to stem the tides of illegals, you would be too if you lived in So. Cal the better of the last 46 yrs, but a Monster Wall isn't the answer....
