Do they though? Again, from my reading of the legal definition of emoluments, it doesn't relate to legitimate commerce. An emolument is specifically remuneration for an action carried out via the powers of his office.

Seems like a fair take.

FWIW, nearly every possible meeting place capable of hosting the G7 summit is owned by someone with enormous political influence in our government, and the majority of them are owned by foreigners from India, Japan or China.

None of them are as impressive as Doral, and the whole point of hosting the G7 is to impress the hell out of the billionaires who control the world in a way that they want to drink your country's kool aid. We want them to want to do what Trump asks them to do. Be our ally, have our back, and step up and carry their own weight as we have always carried ours.

Camp David is a rundown dump with a long, storied history of promises and pacts that were broken before the ink dried. The message it conveys is one of accepted failure and lost hope.

Dang! It is sorry you even need to tell this truth.
But I did get a chuckle out of reading it.

LOL

Yeah. There’s nowhere to go in the United States of America that is good enough for the summit. Totally. Whenever we have hosted foreign dignitaries we have housed them at the Holiday Inn Express near the airport. But they do get a nice airport shuttle and a hot breakfast so that’s nice.

What do you think all those foreign leaders renting rooms from him in his hotels that he frequents means? How about all those Secret Servic personnel renting rooms in his sparsely rented hotels means? And what about all those Secret Service personnel who must rent the entire golf course in his nearly vacant golf courses whenever he plays there? What about his top secret tax returns? The list is nearly endless. He even tried to get the G-7 summit held at one of his poorly rented hotels which would increase his earnings mightily.

Camp Davis was good enough to serve as a host to a peace treaty between Israel and the Arabs but not good enough for Trump. However, a Trump resort in Florida that was losing money hand over fist was good enough especially in the hot hot summer. Sure, I trust your judgement.

Have you seriously objected to anything trump has done or said? Is he your Geppetto?
