i only know one sure way of improving your lottery odds, choose all of your numbers over 31, since alot of people play their birthdays, the odds are slightly less likely that you will have to split the pot if you win.

We aren't championship contenders, so why don't we trade Aldridge for draft picks? With 4 late 1st rounders, we could restock our starting lineup. When we're in the Finals 2 years later you'll thank me. Sure, it's a gamble, but we're not going anywhere anyway, so why not roll the dice?

Shhhhh. My odds of having to split go up every time someone brings this up.

(I really do not play the lottery. Was just agreeing that the lottery is a crap shoot and even though you might get a good player, the chances are not with you. The odds at the bottom are horrible.)

I also think it is safe to say that not having a "GM" did not hamper their ability to get in on the action. I know some will still argue this point, but they would be wrong. IMHO

If they were planning on using those picks to get in on the bidding for better players than Wallace (packaged with other assets), then I'm encouraged too. If the philosophical leap is to gather picks in return for good players and use the picks themselves, I'm far less encouraged.

I'm not talking about strictly using all of those picks to draft and keep players, I'm only talking about flexibility and giving themselves multiple options -- The more moves you have on the proverbial "chessboard" the better.
