Are you two on some sort of a mission to slime up the OT board so badly that people will demand more moderating? Your posts are like a bad Bevis and Butthead episode.

its like the old lady that calls the cops because she can see the nieghbors having sex. the cop says" i cant see anything" and the old lady says"well, if you stand up on the bed you can!"
 
its the same thing that the media is talking about, so we post. We just kick it up a little bit due to a little more freedom and tellin' it is like it is. I think some of the photoshops and photos may be inappropriate since some people DO view these thigns from work and bosses walk by. that's about it though.

It's more about seeing the retarded thread titles on the "Today's Post" page. It's annoying and stupid.

I came to this forum because I expected more maturity out of its posters. Behavior like that really disappoints me.

I made one seemingly "edgy" thread (does Palin take it up teh butt). If you don't like it start your own threads.
 
I agree you two are really acting stupid and Pegs is right, its obnoxious to click on new posts and constantly see threads like:

What do you eat for breakfast?
What kind of luggage do you use?
(non political) Do you think Sarah Palin should/does threads

etc, etc, etc.

I'm wondering if you two can just take it to one thread in this forum. Reading the new threads titles is like reading one thread. It forces those who don't want to to read about politcs to weed through all these one line statements about politcs and pushes some really good threads to their death on the second page.

The response can be well go back to the other board, but I think it should really be about posters respecting each other and working with each other.

Why don't we have a political talking trash thread where anything goes for those who wish to participate.

Think of the other posters and show some courtsey instead of saying you don't like it go to the other board . . . here we go again.
 
I had a steak omlette with blue cheese and cheddar and onions and mushrooms this morning with marbled rye toast. It was damn good.

So what threads do you want to see? I don't see anyone starting any of note. and FYI, I (I can't really speak of UCT) don't really give a shit what you think. Perhaps the moderators can disable OT threads from the "new threads" and keep them as sports only, that's their decision though.

So you're saying you want less traffic here, because if you start censoring or supressing random, stupid threads, that is what will happen.

I agree with REPETITIVE threads kind of clutter the board. My threads span a whole genre of things, not singularly focus. I've known UCT from previous boards and he's always posted like that (you should have seen how many anti-Kobe/rape threads he did back in the day...what was that site, sportspoop.com or soemthing?)

Hey I'm bumping some of your old threads. I like you guys posting.

I'm not attacking anyone here . .. you and trout bring a different flair to the board and I like to read you two teeing off on each other. Heck if we have one thread just for that, the gloves can come off even more and no one can really complain becuase they know what that thread is all about.

I want to make this minimal moding thing work and not let the more pro-enforcement posters say "see what I mean, you got what you asked for"

yeah, like i've been saying, the debates were on last night so naturally we're going to get a bunch of the same kind of threads. i would ENCOURAGE having similar threads being kept in one single thread, not multiple, similar threads like UCT has been doing. I'm open to all suggestions, but if people want interesting threads on this forum, they should look in the mirror first instead of throwing rocks at others.

You keep telling yourself that. Obviously you two are obnoxious enough that someone (not me) felt the need to start a thread calling the two of you out. I'm not trying to attack or make you feel bad, but think about what I am saying. Xericx you have already been accused of post padding in another thread, and I agree. You just start a bunch of random one liners that have the same question in the body as the title of the thread.

The "What do you eat for breakfast thread". Where did that thread go? It just takes up space on the front page for no reason. I've always posted like that (short posts, to the point).

Again, this is the OT forum, I am really interested in what other people eat for breakfast overall. No joke. I find it interesting, not everyone might but again, you don't have to read it nor do you have to open the thread. The options are there to start your own threads.

I don't start a bunch of threads about BBF, I'll participate in some active threads as appropriate, but I really don't give a shit about them either.

Accurate critic of me.

And accurate observation of your own topics....they do span a variety of things. Like me, you can get on a tangent :) and you have to admit you participated in the anti Kobe thing. And can do the soapbox thing too.

To keep everyone a little happier here I'll lower the number of Palin threads I start, so the window isn't so full of that stuff.

this is what's good about an open forum like this, people can discuss and hammer things out themselves instead of having others make decisions that piss off everyone.

i appreciate the concern, and we'll try to improve. that's about it. but some random ass threads WILL happen, that's how it goes.
