Exactly.
That is why ideation among people are 'top of the pyramide' oriented.
There is poverty in the US, but as a society - people here struggle with student loans, or if they eat at McDonalds or Taco bell.
In Iran or Venezuella the question the people ask themself is not how they can make their lives better, but if they would actually be able to live under these conditions for so long..
Why is Venezuela so poor if they have so much Oil? (And yes, apparently a thick not so friendly oil)..
If you take American capitalist values and democracy and have a society live in this land - should it prosper? But it doesn't. Why is that?
Tyrany and Dictatorship. Methods of ruling and power.
So now we have alligning interests - Help the world by removing a tyrant while gaining power by doing to them what was done to Japan.. (Japan is happy today?)

Hopefully, it works out for Venezuela like it did for Japan. Truman didn't name himself interim leader there like Trump did in Venezuela though.

General Douglas MacArthur effectively "ran" Japan as the
Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers (SCAP) from 1945 to 1952, overseeing its demilitarization, political restructuring, and economic reconstruction, implementing vast reforms like land reform, women's rights, and establishing a new democratic constitution under the US-led Allied Occupation.

Interesting article on the new leader in Venezuela and her brother.

Venezuela's new leader Delcy Rodriguez is hardline socialist who kept Maduro in power for years... and she's already making threats against Trump

Colombia former vice-president claims Maduro’s second-in-command Delcy Rodriguez 'handed him over' to the US

Secret details of Venezuela raid 'leaked BEFORE dramatic attack took place'

Major legacy media outlets learned about the secret operation to capture Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro before it began on Friday night, according to a report.

Two sources who have knowledge of correspondence between the White House and the media organizations told the publication Semafor that the New York Times and the Washington Post found out about the raid 'soon before it was scheduled to begin.'

Exactly how long before the publications learned about the operation - whether it was hours or minutes - was not revealed.

But the sources said that the New York Times and Washington Post, which are among the most widely-read newspapers in the US, held off on publishing the news until the operation was complete in order to avoid endangering US troops.

On Saturday morning, President Donald Trump and other top White House officials confirmed the stunning capture of Maduro which had taken place overnight.

Trump had approved the raid, titled Operation Absolute Resolve, at 10.46pm Friday.

It was supported by every branch of the US military and involved more than 150 aircraft, according to Joint Chiefs General Dan Caine, who detailed the timeline alongside Trump at Mar-a-Lago on Saturday.

Weather had delayed the operation by a few days, but conditions had cleared enough on Friday night for the president to give the green light.

I didn't read any threats against Trump unless we will defend our homeland is a threat. She didn't suggest kidnapping him.
Reportedly Trump isn't looking to install opposition leader because he is pissed off she got Nobel Peace Prize instead of him.

VP of Venezuela declared war on the US this morning. Demands the return of Maduro and his wife.

Does that mean Venezuela's allies will officially enter this mess?

Maduro is a bad dude. He lost the election but stayed in power (sounds familiar), and needed to be removed from power. But, any act of war requires congressional approval. Hell, congress, approved Iraq, which we now know was to get their oil (Though Saddam was a bad dude too).

Court orders? That's insane. Courts cannot sanction international warfare. I guess they can claim the SC gave Trump ultimate power to do whatever he pleases...that would be a court order. If Rubio is claiming the indictment against Maduro sanctions going to another country and kidnapping him...that is a pretty sorry explanation.

Rubio said they had court orders to attack the fishing ships and oil ships? What court order? And how does that legally work without congressional approval?

Do what you must, but go through the right legal channels to do it. What's next? Colombia? Greenland? Where does it end?

Some senators are going to force a vote to try and stop Trump from further such actions without congressional approval. Doubt it works, not that they should have to even do that. That's already supposed to be the law.

Rubio now saying US doesn't actually plan to run Venezuela, as Trump repeatedly said, just continue sanctions unless they do US government bidding.
What happens an hour from now when Trump tweets about running Venezuela?
