Carter had 1 dunk with 45 seconds to go in the last 6 minutes of the 4th QTR. 0 shots basically.
Explain.
Time to let Devin take over.
Devin Harris is turning into the Richard Jefferson of last year. Doing great #s but taking away the leadership role from Carter, and tonight was a big red flag.
I find the team should run the offense through vince carter and not Yi or Stromile. Apparently, the Nets thought otherwise tonight.
As vince goes, so goes the Nets. He needs the ball more and harris needs to take less shots and look to get Vince going.
That being said, this is the problem with vince. he is okay not being the guy. he always needs someone to come to him and ask him. he wont step on peoples toes. thats why kidd got pissed at him probably.

Either don't overreact or don't praise him like he's a god when the Nets win.

Oh come on...if Harrington and Thomas hadn't caught fire, the Nets would have won and you would all be praising Harris for dominating the game.

How ironic....cats around here seem to overreact with Yi's defense, like Yi is the only inconsistent softie on this team (on 'D' that is)![]()
I've kind of wondered what would happen when Devin isos don't translate into wins. It's hard to argue either with the team results or with his efficiency in the stretch of games he's played since exploding on Detroit.
On the other hand, he can't forget -- and it's up to Frank and Carter to remind him -- that he's got a backcourt mate who's made a career of 4th quarter, crunch scoring and playmaking and that diversity in offensive approach is going to be best for the team in the long run. And I think it's a huge mistake to NOT run the offense through Vince a good part of the 4th quarter. He still does more than Devin to keep the team involved in the offense, and so his touches and control of the ball are important for team offensive rhythm. It would also be nice if he saw the ball a little more often earlier in the game so that he has some kind of feel by the time the 4th rolls around.
Of course none of this has anything to do with the icky team defense tonight. And WTF is up with Vince's free throws this year? He's freakin horrible (for him).
Everyone's overreacting.
Puh puh puh please don't jump on Devin for taking too many shots. It simply was not our night. It was Al Harrington's. That motherfucker played like a morph between Karl Malone and Dirk Nowitzki.
Carter gave a curious answer after being asked if he should be taking more than the 12 shots he attempted Wednesday.
“I don’t know,” said Carter, who was 7-of-12 and scored 18 points. “You’d better ask the coach. I don’t get into that.”
Hmmmm........
