I voted condensed, but I think it depends on the content. It's always odd to me when someone will bump a year or two year old thread that referenced, say, Donovan Clingan, to post something new about him. In that instance, start a new thread. But if there's a big topic, like Dame asking for a trade, inevitably there's 5 different threads on it, each saying roughly the same thing, and you wanna respond in one spot, but it's also relevant to another, and it gets annoying.
That said, for the most part our mods do a really good job here, so I'll default to their preferences.
I have no preference on this matter
Doesn't matter.
After the first page - threads take a life of their own and are rarely about what the subject line says.
So goodI too, have no preference, as long as it's not done by someone who is doing it with malicious intent (that means doing something on purpose or with ill will @THE HCP ...ill will means animosity. Animosity means strong hostility. Hostility means ill will. And since we've come full circle, which means returning to a past position/argument, I'll end this bit and spare you anymore confusion).
Careful. If it is a couch people might start fucking it.The term threads is offensive. I prefer we call them Mini-mancave discussion couches.
I really think we need more people to chime in here.
Where is that guy that complains about new threads and where is that guy that starts em all the time?
I really only have one issue with threads. It's those who use any thread, to convey the same point...thread...after thread....after thread.
You don't like Billups as a coach? We get it. We allllllll get it. Please stop figuring out ways to blatantly or in a poorly veiled fashion, use every thread as your bully pulpit to say your point.
This is not censorship....it is recognizing courtesy. Could we maybe come up with a badge for those hot repeated points....so every poster who has the badge on their avatar or sig, is well known for their stance?
Maybe "CB"...with the red circle slash over it for the coach hate thing?
I am fine with multiple threads and mods can just merge threads when needed anyway. I am more annoyed when new and hot threads go off topic, especially when its less than a page.
