I don’t know Stren well but I think I know him well enough that he finds this pretty amusing and to be honest so do I.
But yes shutting down this thread probably is the way to go here.

I don't think i started the thread and i dont have anyone on ignore. But to be fair, the ignore button should be even access for all or it isn't fair.
I fight for fairness. Not softness or hardness.

I was banned for continuously causing drama. People didn't move on past my posts. I didn't get the same treatment. So yeah im gonna speak out.

But the posts he's made aren't bad enough to be banned. Or even reprimanded. They break no rules.

You can't ignore mods for very obvious reasons.

where did i say they were? The fact is no one told other people to move on past my posts. Not once.

I know for a fact at least one person has been told to just move on past your posts (or similar). I'd be shocked if it hasn't happened more than once.

I'm sure mods have told people the same about some of my posts.

I have read all of your posts and investigated this matter. I do take your complaints very seriously.

Strenuus as a mod: The first thing I checked was his posts and the moderation logs. I was looking to see if Stren has abused his mod powers. By that, I mean deleted or changed posts of people he was arguing with, or who had taken issue with people who had taken issue with him. While this was never an accusation, this thread was asking me to remove him as a moderator. So I'm going to check that he's not misusing or abusing his mod powers. I found nothing.

Strenuus as a poster: Is he posting something snarky? Is he tossing out personal insults to people? Is he derailing threads with never-ending arguments? Yes, he's been snarky and negative. That is not against the rules here, and it is relatively new behavior.

Now, I did notice a change in the tone of his posts even before some of you started to complain. But I've got to ask, am I the only one who noticed this and reached out to him privately to make sure everything is going okay with him? I've done that with a few people over the years. I've always felt we're more of a community than just a forum. If you notice a change in the behavior of someone and it concerns or upsets you, please reach out to them or to me via private message. Sometimes people have a hard time asking for help. Sometimes the cry for help comes in changes in behavior.

No, nothing seems to be going on with Stren, at least nothing he wants to share with a dog.

I have talked to Stren privately. But I see nothing that he has done as a mod or a member that warrants being removed from staff or the forum.

Youre definitely right on two things:

I’m dissatisfied with this inaction. Give all mods regular and mod accounts separate from each other. Mod accounts are for mod actions and regular accounts are for posting like an asshole. I should be able to ignore who I want.

If a mod account prevents posting like an asshole, we should give everyone mod accounts, and delete all the regular accounts.

But seriously, I don’t think anyone should be doing regular-ass posting from moderator accounts. I never have thought it was okay, and I never will think it’s okay.

This is an interesting point... I'm not against it if it's not too much of a hassle for the mods (I'm not sure if the content management system would make this more difficult or not).

Even if the MOD account is just SlypokerMOD or whatever.

I say this as though my opinion matters at all.
