I agree. I wouldn't want to make any changes that would make a mod second guess being a mod.

This is why I stopped being a mod. I wanted to be able to tell people to go fuck themselves.

You would be able to participate but you shouldn't get unignorable privileges when you post your random opinions. Your opinions about ANYTHING not related to the running of the site aren’t you doing moderation, so why do I have to respect your mods privilege about it?

I wouldn't think so. But I could see where being forced to use multiple different usernames could be frustrating if the system wasn't set up with that in mind.

If so, I wouldn't even bother with it.

But it is a good suggestion, IMO, and seems like it could very possibly be an elegant solution.

We are human beings. If I say stuff you disagree with or think I'm a jerk about, call me out and we can have a discussion.

Mods don't have the privilege of ignoring posters at all. Do you understand the pain reading all of HCP's posts?

And if you posted from a poster account and moderated from a moderator account you could ignore HCP until someone reported him for being HCP, which would then involve you moderating from the moderator account. I don’t get why you’re against this unless having the badge is part of the reward.

Nobody is going to moderate if they have to log out to go into another account to do so. Again, it is a volunteer thing.

Again, we are human beings. He apologized.

If someone overtly abused their mod powers, I'm positive Sly would talk to them and look at removing their mod capabilities. But what do I know? He is an asshole, after all.
