Great signing... if he turns into something Blazers have his rights. He has unique physical attributes, so the potential is there if coaching staff can develop him. I hope we use remaining cap room to lock up Papagiannis to same contract... Papagiannis like Baldwin has very unique physical attributes... 20 year old 7’2” center that can shoot. Having a couple young players like that on minimum ungaranteed deals is great
LOL... I read through it 4 different times.

Every time I would read '18-'19 and think to myself -> "to the end of this season".
Yes, and Papagiannis can be Nurk insurance... in case someone offers Nurk a huge deal. Then we can role with Ed at starting center, Collins at PF and Papagiannis a developmental center of the future off the benchNapier "insurance" in case he gets too big an offer as an RFA is my guess, good signing
He should be playoff eligible.
I wonder if his contract extends into next year too... I'd be good if we can have him on a min contract in 18-19 season.
It will be interesting to see what happens with PapaG too. I doubt he gets signed for the rest of the season (as I think that would bump us into tax territory). Is it too late to get him onto a 2-way contract now? If so, I think Portland just lets him walk.

Team option?
Pretty much. His contract isn’t guaranteed for next season. That being said, I think they signed Baldwin with the idea of developing him. He’ll be a cheap end of the bench guy next season.
Bye Layman

Last season, veteran players complained that Baldwin was too cocky.
“I really don’t think it was cocky. It was defensiveness,” Fizdale said. “He came in trying to show that he belonged and that he fit. Sometimes when you’re doing that you can alienate people. Or (at) least give that vibe that you’re not approachable and have all of the answers.”

Conley tried to mentor Baldwin throughout training camp.
“We talked about his attitude. You know, how a lot of the young guys come in and feel entitled,” Conley said. “They know it all. Too cool. I told him that was you last year. You can tell the difference when you’re all in with the team, willing to listen and be coachable … the sky is the limit for you. He worked a lot in the summer, being in contact with guys and staying connected.”
It sounds like he has put that behind him. Many here still ask why the Grizz let Baldwin go. Here's why:

Post-cut, he admitted to being humbled, and has changed his attitude. It sounds like he has put that behind him.
"I’ve always been a defensive player, and given my circumstances – having an organization kind of, you know, throw me away, I just strive to be the hungriest person in the NBA and build my brand back up,’’ Baldwin said. “Defense is my ticket. Every time I go down the court, that’s my calling card. I’m just going to go hard with that.’’

Well, Conley isn't a slouch so I wouldn't say anywhere NEAR but Dame is an awesome leader esp for young players like Wade and Nurk.He acknowledge it (props) and there was no leader on the Grizzlies anywhere near like what the Blazers have in Lillard.
I would trade CJ for Kawhi in a heartbeat. If WB4 is an option at starting SG, does that open up a CJ for Kawhi trade without losing anything (and maybe gaining something) at the shooting guard position?
Dame
WB4
Kawhi
Zach
Nurkic
Bazz
Pat
Turner
Biggie
Ed Davis
That's a decent team that could win games in playoffs.
