Wade Baldwin coming up

Welcome to our community

What a stupid fucking reason to just waive a player you just wasted a 1st round pick on the year before. Stories like that make me not feel the least bit sorry with what a joke that franchise has become.

Their fans are starting to get similarly bitter as nuggets fans. “His attitude sucked!” “He was a cancer!” Lol good stuff.

But it just shows you how lucky we are to be rooting for a team that has a great environment, with good coaches that invest in development, and a leader like Dame who doesn’t big time anyone.

Good leaders inspire their teammates. Good coaches make sure players have the opportunity to succeed. Memphis has neither.

I love spring when we get New Player Fever for a few games! I didn’t dare watch the comeback for fear of jinxing it but I’ll rewatch the second half tomorrow. I wanna see this kid!

Thank Olshey for giving us effectively an additional first round rookie every year!

Wade Baldwin played great against Houston. He excelled.
I like that Stotts dumped the end of the bench at the end of the 4th Q. He probably thought "what does it matter" when the Rockets poured it on and lead by 24 at one point. Much to his surprise, the practice squad just fell short of a miracle comeback of 17-0 in Toyota Center.
Finally, at the end, I wish CJ's game winner 3 point shot dropped. A win against them would make us all much more comfortable when the playoffs start.
This team is not getting blown out and a variable margin under 10 means were in it but Stotts has not figured out (since the end of the streak) how to instantly dominate when it matters most.

1) He was poison - a culture killer.
and
2) You can make this stuff up... they wanted to keep Mario.... Chalmers :)

Yeah, especially in today's high salaried players, 1st round picks with team guaranteed of 4 years of a low cost contract would make one think a team would at least go 2 years with the player.

CJ making that shot would have been great and would have loved to see the look on little whiny Chris Pauls face.

Compare Conley and Dame...

Conley obviously felt threatened by Baldwin and tried to put him in his place as a rook.

Dame says he wants every single one of his teammates to succeed even point guards like Baldwin and Napier because he is so confident in himself that he would love if those guys challenged him and were as good as him. He knows that makes the team better too. Dame just gets it.

I really can't get past that it seems Baldwin was only a bad seed in Memphis because the vets were trying to put him in his place.

We just played Houston to the wire, twice. I'm going semi-KingSpeed here: I don't fear Houston in the playoffs.

Gasol seems like a prick too. Got his coach fired then acted surprised.

Baldwin wasn’t innocent either, but at least he owned up to it. I didn’t watch him in Memphis but it didn’t really seem like he got a fair chance to play. It’s like Nurk. Nurk knew his worth and wasn’t afraid to express it. Coming from a young, unproven player, that could rub some people the wrong way. That’s what separates Dame. When Harkless was expressing his frustrations earlier in the year, Dame didn’t get defensive. He empowers his teammates.

Playoffs are going to be very competitive this year and if a team blinks they can find themself knocked out real quick. Should make for some great games.

I think we need to see if he can continue this play in the final 3 games.

He's gonna get scouted eventually but we need to ride this until they do. Think he can warrant about 10-15 mpg in the playoffs depending on the matchup.

Unlike, say, Portland fans and journalists chasing off the remnants of a successful roster because of character issues?

It's got to be frustrating when you know you can play but don't get a real opportunity because the franchise is trying to appease vets. It can be difficult to toe the line between being passionate/caring and feeling slighted. I'm glad our team seems to welcome guys with a chip on their shoulder especially if their humbling experiences leads to them working even harder to prove themselves.

Can you imagine being as talented as Nurk and getting multiple DNP-Coaches Decision in your 3rd season with a team that hasn't made the playoffs in several years? I don't think I'd handle that situation very well either, especially when I was younger.

Huge difference between guys like Nurk and Baldwin who aren't bad guys they just were frustrated with not playing and guys like Rueben Patterson (nanny raper), Qyntel Woods (dog fighting ring), Z-Bo (multiple incidents with his entourage), Stoudamire (dumb enough to try and take weed wrapped in tin foil through the airport), JR Rider (dumb enough to smoke weed out of a soda can on the side of the road), and Bonzi (said he didn't care about the fans or what they think). Do you want to continue this discussion or do you realize how silly that sounds to compare those guys?
