Absolutely wrong. A couple of apologists made up your convoluted psychological theory at the time as they always do, but majority wisdom was the plain facts--that Olshey had simply made an offer, and lost. Duh.
OK...I'll take the word of the objective national NBA writer I quoted. Thanks.

If he hits the market he’s going to golden state. They’re winning either way. I just want our boy back.

I would think you are right, but Houston, Lakers, Spurs Denver, or OKC would not be ideal for Portland.

At this point i figure you probably should be writing in green font as it is becoming pretty clear you are joking.
Thanks for the laugh.

You still claim, beyond all common sense, that for fun, "to fuck with OKC," Olshey frivolously risked taking on a player he didn't sincerely want, which, had his cunning plan gone awry, would have cost his budget tens of millions of dollars.

I'm sorry, but I just phoned the men in the white coats. They'll be at your door in minutes. I asked them to be gentle.

He'd be our second best big in the regular season. But teams would P&R him to death in his 15 mpg in the playoffs. You saw what SA did to Leonard last night. That's about what we can expect in the playoffs.

But ZCo is a fine P&R defender. Where he is lacking is offense. Thus, having ZCo and Kanter to use based on need makes more sense. Frankly, when MyLe is playing over Zach it is usually for his offense. Kanter basically replaces MyLe as the offensive backup big option and Zach can be used as the defensive backup big option.

Pretty sure you forgot your green font again. As it has been said. Why not both?

That is a double edged sword. If DeAndre hits the market and goes to one of our competitors that is not a good thing.

Deandre ain't playing backup to Nurk. He'll go to a contender to start. I hope he doesn't get cut.

So which contender would that be? I can't see any contending team where he would start. Maybe Boston....

Bartlestein probably “owes” Olshey for helping Kanter get payed. If he doesn’t find Kanter a starting role elsewhere, I could see him pushing him to Portland, assuming the Blazers are interested. Kanter also has experience coming off the bench and finding ways to produce in limited minutes.

I think Portland would have a good shot at landing Rolo if Golden State passes/goes with someone else. System familiarity would be a huge advantage.

I dunno...his last half season in Portland he didn't act happy or play with much enthusiasm. It may have been because he knew LMA was leaving and that that team had run its course.

Not one single person knew LA was leaving, least of all Neil.

All those who lusted after Carmelo, here's your chance.

I liked Rolo. Does Caspri have any shooting touch left?

I would snap pick up Teodosic and give him ALL of ETs minutes.

That makes...uhhh.....how many blazers fans are there?

Just for comparisons sake, here’s Teodosic last year (ignored his numbers this year since he doesn’t play) vs Turner this year.

I’ll say this though. Id rather have Teodosic than Curry. Teodosic is an amazing playmaker and can shoot. We wouldn’t be losing anything.

Teams wouldn't get a break defending Nurk with Kanter backing him up.

Curry
Hood
Turner
Harkless
Kanter

I like that second unit. Good balance of scorers and defenders. Hood and Kanter would be the focal points offensively.

But if we acquire a more defensive minded center like Gortat or Lopez I also like this

Curry
Hood
Turner
Layman
Lopez/Gortat

Either option is better than what we have now. I love Collins, and Meyers has played better this year, but I’m not trusting either one in a playoff series. We also get killed on the boards when Nurk is off the floor. That would be patched up with any of the three.

Lopez also formed a good pick and roll partnership with Lillard.
The Nic and Rolo…...it was Batum and Rolo that had great chemistry...Batum got a ton of assists from Rolo finishing at the rim

Here’s my list, all positions

1. Markieff
2. Kanter
3. Gortat
4. Lopez
5. Teodosic

I think Markieff would be an upgrade over Moe, and he could possibly even start. The centers have been discussed, and Teodosic would be an upgrade over Curry.

Morris getting a second opinion on his neck injury. If he can come back healthy, he fits well here.

which of the five would has the conducive chemistry for getting along in their role?

Yeah and his brother was interviewed saying he didn’t want him on another eastern conference team. Two issues though

1. Lakers are evidently interested. No way would he choose Portland over them.

2. Olsheys bullshit “culture.” No bad boys allowed.

I mean considering these are all buyout guys, they don’t have much of a choice. Gun to head though? Lopez, just because of the familiarity.
