Please no more tweets from Evan “dildo” Sidery. He doesn’t even try. Now he says POR should give MIN all of MILs picks for Jaden McDaniels. Then naturally MiN gives those to MIL for Giannis

New York wants to dump Towns, and this idiot thinks we should give up three 1st rounds picks for him?

KAT is a solid player, but he's hardly a franchise level player and he doesn't seem to alter the trajectory of a team. Minny is just as good with Randle as they were with KAT; and NY is no better with KAT as they were with Randle

besides that, while Clingan has his flaws, if KAT really better for what the Blazers need?

I don't think so. That's especially true considering that over the next 2 seasons, KAT will be paid 51M/year more than Clingan.....geeeeezuzzz

Maybe we make no trades. Ownership is not finalized yet I believe. Did the GM get a sweet heart deal contract and really is lame duck to make deals until ownership is transferred.

about those Milwaukee picks:

while I don't like the Giannis addition for several reasons: the projected cost; Giannis age & health; the mesh with Deni...

that doesn't mean that the Blazers can't hedge their bets with those picks/swaps. By that I mean the first thing is, fuck the Knicks....they should nget to dump KAT in a Giannis trade unless the Bucks wan him. I'd do Grant + 2029 first + 1 of the swaps for Bridges; maybe even add another protected first. But that 2029 Milw. first gets top-4 protection for Portland

if Bucks want a young prospect, send them Yang....please

If the new ownership is indeed a factor in the trade deadline deals, then I assume they are keeping him in the loop.

Our three biggest trade pieces are Holiday, Grant and Williams. There is 77 mil in salary in these players. What kind of deal we could make with these older players remains to be seen. They are certainly not in a potential championship window for the blazers

Unless the new contract is a thank you for the memories and the GM is history when the new owners come on board

Well, if that is the case, and I am Joe with a couple of months left, I do whatever the hell I want until then. I go out swinging.

Would Allan’s sister allow that to happen with the ownership deal still in process. I think she would want a status quo

As I said, I am sure he is kept in the loop for any trade ideas. He has gone to games...with Joe. If a good deal comes their way, they won't be sitting on their asses just to keep the status quo until the sale

Not to mention they made extensions with Tou and Shae.

if Dundon didn't like any transaction that required league approval, I'm pretty certain the NBA would grant him veto authority

I wouldn't do the deal as constructed let alone add both swaps and I'm assuming you're saying the Bucks would get the best pick out of ours, theirs and Boston's in 2029 because the ship sailed on just giving them their pick back when we traded the Wizards the second best of those three.

Again though, I think giving up Scoot, Caleb, Jerami and let's just say Matisse for Reid, McDaniels, Dillingham and Ingles is a bad trade for us before adding in any draft considerations.

The Wolves are getting away with highway robbery. They're just giving up their role players and they're getting back a superstar... and you have us as the ones giving up draft capital. Do you hate our team???

Why on earth in this scenario wouldn't we keep Caleb and take Giannis? I'm not a huge fan of that deal but at least we're getting a superstar in it.
Totally agree - if the Bucks are only getting Scoot and Grant then we should keep Giannis.

If you go through all the teams in the NBA that are making "aggressive offers" for Giannis its crap like this where a 3rd team like us is giving up all the value and getting the worst return of all the teams.

One of them was injured each year. We never saw them in the playoffs together for a series and things were going great during the season before they fired Bud. They also won the Cup when healthy last season.
Both Dame and Giannis are injured today as well.

While you have to listen to the idea of adding Giannis - it might far and away be the best deal for the Blazers to just sit out a Giannis trade and let those picks grow in value. There isn't really anything the Bucks can do to get out of the lottery in the years ahead. Probably the best best thing for those picks was them waiving Dame - as he's on their cap for over $20 million a year as dead money until 2030. Next best is probably waiting as long as they have on trading Giannis. He is worth less every month. The rest of that Bucks roster is horrible.

They could be. Or it could be us moving up 5 or 6 spots. If we hang on to them, the Bucks have absolutely no incentive to tank, and 2 years to try to elevate those picks to being mediocre swaps. Their highest value as an actual draft pick belongs to Milwaukee, IMO.
The Bucks were trying hard to win this year WITH Giannis and are still deep in the lottery with a horrific eastern conference. This could be the beginning of a run like the Brooklyn Nets after the Pierce/Garnett trade where there is nothing the Bucks can do to avoid high lottery picks going to other teams.

We have 3 years coming up of trying to get Tatum and Brown.

Now is it possible the picks aren't as high or we whiff on the selection? Of course. But the Bucks situation is unlike where most teams have given their pick away unprotected yet have a quality winning roster. The Bucks mortgaged the future so many times theres hardly any assets on that roster or flexibility to build a winning squad. Locking up 5 years of Dame's salary as dead money until 2030 might have been the last straw.

Oh I'm certain the NBA would not. Dundon has zero official authority with the Blazers today.

Jody is in charge until the NBA approves the sale - legally Joe only has to do as she wishes.

But I'm sure all parties know that the day the NBA approves the deal Dundon has 100% control - so Jody will let Joe keep him in the loop and possible "approve" transactions. But that approval would be entirely from Joey and Joe authority - not because Dundon has any power today.

Just cut out the Knicks and send the Bucks their picks back with Grant and change
Exactly - just keep Giannis ourselves if we give up all the value for him yet take back all the spare parts other teams don't want.

While I like Bridges much more than KAT he still is overpaid on that $150 million extension that kicks in the next few months.

Do you think the Bucks do this and would you like it for us? The bucks get three future FRPs from the Warriors and the swaps back from us. We get younger bench pieces with upside.

The "rumor" was as part of a giannis deal. Jrue and Milwaukee picks, some/all i don't know to Minnesota
Ah, found it:

That one is probably the most tempting one I've seen. McDaniels has been awesome this year. So much so that I really don't see the Wolves trading him. (But then I thought that about Washington and Deni, so...?)
