I like Markannen for the Blazers. I think he would fit great with the team.

I think he's probably the best we can get in a trade at this point. Ainge is going to want a lot of picks though.

Markannen
Williams

For

Grant
Williams
Rupert
Picks

I think the price for Markannen would be way too high if reports are true.

Danny Ainge would want a massive haul for Lauri Markkanen, likely consisting of multiple unprotected first-round picks (around five) and a promising young player, as he views Lauri as a cornerstone asset and holds firm on high valuations, potentially even an All-Star caliber player, to justify trading their best player, though many believe Utah isn't actively shopping him unless an "unrefusable" offer comes along.

I do too, but his salary is the issue. After this year, 46, 50, and 53 million. I agree he is an upgrade over Grant, and can play back-up center, to create minutes for Tou..........but we do need to give Deni a raise. I would probably do it, though.......and move Jrue for an ending contract.

Ainge way overvalues his players just like Olshey did. Its going to backfire on him.

Though he only got what Nurk for Sexton?

What do the Blazers need most of all right now?

I think it would be a good/great defending point guard (bigger the better) who can hit 3-pointers and not hog the ball.

Someone like Ron Harper (a modern-day Ron Harper with 3-point shooting) , winner of 5 championships in the backcourt with MJ and Kobe.

Jrue could be that guy if he were healthy, or a younger version of him.

Oh yeah, and someone who is HEALTHY.

Call me crazy but I don't really want the Blazers to be buyers. Let others come to us and knock us dead, otherwise I'm fine with sitting tight and waiting to get healthy.

Healthy and more experienced and improved.

Look at several of the players. Such as Clingan and Cissoko.

I think what we need is to open up two roster spots for Sidy and Caleb.

I think we need to move the vets for younger players that will complement our young nucleus.

We need three and D guys who do not want or need to put the ball on the floor or be the focal point of our offense.

I do not think we need an established star/all star.

Oh and we need Scoot to get healthy.

Yes, Scoot could be a big piece but his health is very concerning.

Something like this would work for me, honestly. Both Aldama and Pippen Jr would fit into the vision and style here. Mephis gets rid of Ja for a decent return and Heat gets their PGOTF as Hero is a bad fit with Powell playing well.

A FRP this year.

Trae Young only got CJ and Kispert - with his offcourt issues and health should Ja be worth less?

I don't understand all the hype of Ja trades. Short guards don't have value in today's NBA. They're basically the bruising PF without a jump shot from 15 years ago.

Ja is always injured and has a horrible 3pt shot. That will kill his value in the current nba. BUT Super athletic and when he is healthy is good. But he isn’t a leader or a first option though he thinks he is. Due big dollars too. Someone will take a flier on him though. Seems like the kinda guy Ballmer will be all over

He missed 20 games last season and missed 16 games the season before that. When he is clear of this injury he'll be good to go.
He may be good to go; he may not. I don't see what basis you have for that confidence though

he's 21 years old and has missed 76 games in 2.5 seasons. That's a pace for missing 30 games season. I think he also missed a chunk of games in GLeague. My hunch is he'll be injured often in his career. Lots of player are
