As always, depends on the return. But I'd look to move him if we can get something halfway decent for him.
He’s never going to get many minutes; we already do a fine job of managing his knees. I would hope he stays if we pay him reasonably.
Yeah, I definitely wouldn't move him for a late 2nd like that. It probably is unlikely to get what it would take to move him. Agreed, nobody is giving a 1st. I'd be ok with a meh-ish prospect, like a Dalton Knecht, or similar, a guy their team maybe is kinda done with, but we can take a cheap flyer. Knecht, Grady Dick, Dadiet, Salaun, Shannon Jr.
If Atlanta makes a move for AD, I'd see if we could steal Kennard instead of him going to Dallas.
People keep wanting to get shooters who can't defend (Kennard, Kispert) but I have a feeling if we did, we suddenly wouldn't be in every game. It's no accident that teams that are super efficient against the rest of the league (Boston, Houston) suddenly look really ordinary against us, and even if all our clanks are frustrating, I wouldn't want to mess with our D. (It's going to be interesting when Dame comes back.)
I've been thinking the same thing. We have to get three and D guys, if it's just three point specialists then we will take our strength and make it a weakness in order to take one of our weaknesses and make it a neutral area.
I like Markannen for the Blazers. I think he would fit great with the team.
