An act of confusion for a team that lacks shooting. What would it take to get Sochan?
I'd vote to keep him.Do we want to move RWIII or keep him while Yang warms up to temperature?
As always, depends on the return. But I'd look to move him if we can get something halfway decent for him.Do we want to move RWIII or keep him while Yang warms up to temperature?
He’s never going to get many minutes; we already do a fine job of managing his knees. I would hope he stays if we pay him reasonably. The question is - what is the team willing to pay him next year and will he be interested in staying for that amount?
If they do not think they can retain him for what they believe is a contract that makes sense - you move him, as much fun as he is to watch.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't move him for a late 2nd like that. It probably is unlikely to get what it would take to move him. Agreed, nobody is giving a 1st. I'd be ok with a meh-ish prospect, like a Dalton Knecht, or similar, a guy their team maybe is kinda done with, but we can take a cheap flyer. Knecht, Grady Dick, Dadiet, Salaun, Shannon Jr.So what is a decent return? A 2nd round pick in 45-60 range?
He obviously isn't worth a FRP like Josh Hart was starting for us - nor a high 2nd rounder. Those late 2nd round picks are the types the Blazers just sell for cash in recent years.
I just don't see the point in trading him away for something so irrelevant. Conversely I don't see why any other team would give up value for someone with such massive injury history and little minute availability.
I'd just be glad he is here. Yes we could consider resigning him at the market rate if he wants to come back.
I'd be cool with including him in a deal that returns a 40%+ marksman.Yeah, I definitely wouldn't move him for a late 2nd like that. It probably is unlikely to get what it would take to move him. If Atlanta makes a move for AD, I'd see if we could steal Kennard instead of him going to Dallas.I'd be cool with including him in a deal that returns a 40%+ marksman.
People keep wanting to get shooters who can't defend (Kennard, Kispert) but I have a feeling if we did, we suddenly wouldn't be in every game. It's no accident that teams that are super efficient against the rest of the league (Boston, Houston) suddenly look really ordinary against us, and even if all our clanks are frustrating, I wouldn't want to mess with our D. (It's going to be interesting when Dame comes back.)If Atlanta makes a move for AD, I'd see if we could steal Kennard instead of him going to Dallas.
I've been thinking the same thing. We have to get three and D guys, if it's just three point specialists then we will take our strength and make it a weakness in order to take one of our weaknesses and make it a neutral area.People keep wanting to get shooters who can't defend (Kennard, Kispert) but I have a feeling if we did, we suddenly wouldn't be in every game.
