Way too early trade suggestions (3 Viewers)

No matter what happens We are in the drivers seat and have all the leverage when it comes to Giannis trade. Knicks want Giannis way more than we want Bridges. Bucks absolutley need us involved in whatever trade happens with Gainnis. Almost impossible to go through rebuild when you don’t control your own draft picks

Bridges would be a really good fit. I think the days of giving up 3-4 1st rounders for a mid level star are over. If he only cost us one of those picks and one of our young guys I think you do the deal. He does everything well and just another great defender who can shoot the 3 and space the floor
AND...he and Dame are buddies. Just like Grant.

I wouldn't give up that much for Bridges.

I also was responding to the one pick and a young player comment.

I don't think I would give up Scoot and a 1st with salary filler (probably Grant) for Bridges either.
If we're just giving up old guys and Bucks picks for Knicks picks while netting Bridges I might be in favor of it. Now if we have to give up young players, and depending on who, I might not be interested.

Which is probably why we'd be able to land someone like Bridges for Jrue and swaps. I like Jrue, but he's still older and overpaid. Still, love what he brings.
Am wondering how it's viewed if it's Simons and swaps for Bridges instead.

The Knicks gave up 5 1sts, a 2nd and a pick swap for Bridges.

I highly doubt they would trade him for one pick and a young player.
seems like this is about how much pressure new york and the bucks feel to get a deal done. portland can always walk away if they don't want to overpay for bridges who is possibly underwater on his contract starting next year.

Blazers trading the swap rights in order to help the Knicks getting Giannis would be sports malpractice by the team.

ESPECIALLY if their return is bridges

I think ideally we're still building around Deni and Shaedon along with Tou, Clingan and Scoot. That is a very good young core that has the opportunity to be great.

The only thing I'd like to see us trade for is a young switchable big who doesn't have to sit the second game of back to backs and have minutes restrictions. Maybe get some more shooting as well.

I just hope our front office is thinking about the most likely championship window for that young group and not Dame, Jrue and Jerami. We've got a ton of guys whose best basketball is in front of them so I see no reason to be worried about timing for guys whose best basketball is behind them.

I'd rather keep Camara and Scoot, even if we don't give them any picks.

Giannis hasn't been healthy for what 4 years? Plus he is paid a supermax and his game relies on athleticism. Not a good track record of these players aging well.

Think Blake Griffin in Detroit.

Now if he was the final piece to contend immediately I might consider it. But we're not close enough and he's declining too quickly.
Blake Griffin was never close to as good as Giannis. Giannis is having one of the greatest seasons ever despite the injuries. And we absolutely are close enough. Giannis has never played with a player as good as Deni. Our roster would be better than the one that won the 2021 title.
