You need a gigantic bong rip.
It's legal today.
I'm not used to his last name yet!![]()

I think it's obvious Neil had Aminu in his back pocket before he traded Batum.Hibbert has pretty much agreed on Golden States offer and the Knicks are giving Afflalo 12 mil if they haven't already
LMFAOIf only LSD were legal... we could sell Aminu Acid!

Defense
37/40
This would be why Aminu is making the cut. He's a true lockdown defender who can routinely take on the toughest wing assignments, especially because he's so good at preventing points while working on the ball. His off-ball work can be a bit sloppy, but you're not going to score against him in a one-on-one situation unless you manage to work your way into the post.
So, you expected Neil to retain all of our starters, as well as assemble a bench consisting of CJ, Henderson, Aminu, Leonard, and Plumlee, plus young unproovens like Frazier, Crabbe, and Vonleh. Makes sense...
thanks! I'm down with those comparisonsThink
Gerald Wallace
Stacey Augman
Bruce Bowen
Or maybe even Jeromw Kersey
Nice defense, and hustle guy. Not great handles. Needs some work on his jumper. Probably will be a fan favorite
Honestly, I can accept it if it happens. We have other options. At this point I think letting Aldridge walk and signing Monroe and looking for a 3rd star might be more prudent. I dunno. I'm not going to be torn to shreds if Aldridge leaves like most.
So, then, you basically expected Neil to retain all our FA's, draft RHJ, sign an MLE guy, not make any other changes, and figured that team would be a contender.I'd be perfectly happy without Henderson and Vonleh, actually.

Embrace change, dude.
I think this is a good pick up and I think of Aminu as a poor man's Draymond Green.
I am very pleased to get a player who can play defense. And in all honesty, if all the shit hadn't gone down that has gone down, and this was our ONLY roster move, I would probably be perfectly content. It's just pretty funny in the context of LaMacapocalipse (or whatever it's called). Come on - surely even people who like this move can see that? There are no doubt a lot of national writers mocking the Blazers about now.
I also wish we could get a solid all-around player. We seem to be acquiring offensive OR defensive players. I like players who can do both - like Middleton and Draymond Green. The knock on Aminu has always been that he doesn't have that many actual basketball skills - just a high motor and great athleticism.
No, I mean, realize that the way the team was built last year isn't the ONLY way they can win, and look for the positives in the new roster and how it might be able to be successful. You mean "stop caring about the team winning"? I guess I've done it before, I just didn't think I'd need to do it again so drastically.
I guess I don't see it other than the defense. But Draymond is only as valuable as he is because he can do everything. He's a very good passer and can hit the three. He's like Anthony Mason with a jump shot. Aminu can play defense, yes, but there's a reason he was limited to 18mpg while Draymond would play 48 mins a game if Kerr could get away with it.
It appears Aminu is similar to Bruce Bowen? Maybe Shane Battier? But not as good at shooting as either?
Didn't Battier play SF?Aminu will play more PF than he will SG so I see Bowen/Battier comparisons as off.
We have alot of youth at the 4 now.
Didn't Battier play SF?
And given that we have Leonard/Vonleh/Plumlee/Kaman I think Aminu's primary position will be SF - after all, he's the ONLY SF we have!
That's what I'm thinking too, but maybe even skew those percentages more towards SF. We've got some bigs to develop!Aminu will be our starting SF. Book it. 75% time there and 25% of his time as a stretch 4.
This deal looks better after the $15M that DeMarre Carroll got
Fuck. Rice better start working on this pronunciation now.
