Yep and he’s under contract for what 4 years? Get Zion now. He’s the only guy out there worth the #3 pick.
 
is there any cap chicanery we can do to get both Zion AND PG.

3 + Nurk to NO.
Simons + 23 + future picks to LA.
PG + Zion to POR.

We unfortunately don't have the fillers to do this after July 1, but is it possible before Zion's extension kicks in? Maybe add a 4th team?

His contract isn’t even THAT bad considering eh stays healthy. I think he’ll make 35 next year? Pretty good for mvp potential

He played some #1 option for PHX when Booker was out for much of the year. People think it only happened in Brooklyn. Not true.

Those 2 combine for nearly 80M. We'd have to be able to S&T Grant to get both.

No, it's my understanding that once the season is over Poison Pill contracts go away and you have to trade for the player for his next season's value. Is that what your understanding is @wizenheimer ?

Yep. At 22. So much time to turn things around. And people forget he’s already been an All Star twice! And Dame wants him. He’ll be in his prime when Dame retires. Great move for us.

Don’t think so. Not enough contracts.. you would need to find about 8-10 mil extra

Yeah, we just need to send them Scoot... probably try to get a third team involved to get us some value out of Ant. I've been saying Ant to Orlando... Gary Harris, Nurk and pick 3 Scoot to NOLA and we get WCJ and Zion. I think that makes all of the teams happy.

I think we'd have to throw in Nas to make the salaries work but I'd be cool with that. We would then need to use pick 14 along with sending Nurk out to upgrade at C or at least get someone who is a better fit.

what if we wait to trade after signing Scoot and include him in the salary traded out?

we can get to close to 60 mil with Ant/Nurk/Scoot/Nas/Keon/Knox. That is close to 75 mil that we can bring in. A 4 mil S&T with Reddish gets us to the 80 mil to bring in both.

Assuming there is not a change of heart by Charlotte and let's be honest they still could or a team could give a rainmaker of a offer for the 2nd pick BUT assuming nothing changes this is good news if true for the Blazers. Now they can focus on seeing if there is a trade out there for the pick so I think there is a better chance something might get done now. I think we will legit hear a rumor about 24 hours before the draft that has legs and then it will be in the Blazers hands if it's enough or not and I hope I am right cause the waiting is killing me.

That’s the best roster in the West. We’d find out if Billups can coach.
