im really excited to see how we fuck this up
were used to making franchise altering wrong moves, this could be another one (probably not to the same extent, but still)
I would beg my friends to keep me from blowing it on porn stars.
If I take Scoot Henderson I don't want to play him off the bench... not even in season one. That dude is a little monster. We can (even though we haven't) get bench pieces. You don't spend the third pick on a bench piece in my opinion. That's gotta be a starter... for me. I get wanting a bench. We did have bench talent at SG/SF last season and that same dude is a restricted free agent that's one out of four pieces we need filled.The Blazers lacked talent at every position off the bench last season.
One way the team could get significantly better is to put together a much better bench.
Scoot and Sharpe (or Simons) could be key parts of a much better bench.
It's asking a lot and it sure makes us very forward heavy. I get it that you probably see Amen as a big PG in all of this.If Zion really is available, are there any other teams that might want him?
Maybe Houston?
Pels
Zion -> 3 (Scoot)
Rockets
4 + Brooklyn's '24 & '26 picks + Eason -> Zion (into cap space)
Nets
Bridges + DFS -> Ant + Little + Brooklyn's '24 & '26 picks
Portland
Ant + Little + 3 -> Bridges + DFS + Eason (into TPE) + 4 (Amen)
Is that being too gready?

If you can grab Bridges and Eason and still come out with picks 4, 22 and 23 that would be pretty impressive. I still want to roll the dice with Zion and think it's more realistic but I do like your trade idea.Yes, Amen as a PG.
Maybe pull out DFS & Little & ask for 22 back from Nets?

So I could see a youth rebuild being a viable option but I'm really hoping we maximize the Scoot hype in a trade for proven commodities who address our biggest roster needs.
I don't think it's ridiculous. We can't let NOLA have the value of Scoot and Ant for Zion. They can have Scoots value and then we need a way to reroute Ant to get his value from another source or recoup it from NOLA directly.Defense across the board.
Size.
Playoff experience.
Depth.
There's no way that we can get our biggest roster needs by trading Scoot, and moving the tradable players we have (Ant, Nurk) will be undercutting our depth (and size) issues.
Yes, if we can upgrade the entire roster around Dame then I guess trading Scoot makes sense, but since that's ridiculous, I think trading Scoot would be, too![]()
We are losing two of our top seven or eight guys in Ant and Nurk, and we are giving up a likely rotation guy in Scoot for... one player? Two?I don't think it's ridiculous. The way I see it is that I want Ant, Nurk and pick 3 going out. I want a role playing mobile defense first starting C and Zion in return for that outgoing package. We then would have a championship level starting lineup Dame, Shaedon, Jerami, Zion, New C.
We would also have a bench that already has Nas and Matisse on it because we own him via RFA... that really covers the wing nicely. We would need to get a backup PF/C with pick 23 or by using pick 23 and one of our TPEs... I really like Trayce Jackson-Davis he rebounds, blocks shots and scores really efficiently and moves really really well. Then we use the TPMLE on a backup PG like Javon Carter and we have a pretty fucking good bench rotation. If any of the guys like Mays, Keon, Trendon, Jabari or pick 43 pop then we're even deeper but Denver just won a championship playing three players off the bench and two of them were only averaging 15 minutes per game in the playoffs.
I just don't think it's ridiculous to upgrade our areas of need and have found your approach to this entire off season so lacking in imagination and frankly disingenuous when you say shit like "entire roster" when we most likely have Jerami, we have Shae, we control Matisse and these are really good and reliable guys, Nas has lacked durability but when he is healthy he's a very good rotational piece as well. So we just see this thing very differently.
I still believe Scoot goes 2. My opinionMiller widely being reported as the Hornets pick at 2. That means Scoot at 3 and a possible bidding war for him once we're on the clock. @Mediocre Man said we wouldn't have to but... hold onto your shorts!
Minnesota probably more interested than PortlandInteresting.
Ah yes, a change of scenery to one of the highest strip club per capita.This is sleazy bullshit Youtube. Zion isn't the first pro athlete to have relations with a bunch of different women including porn stars. People need to get the fuck over this... it will blow over. This isn't Miles Bridges assaulting a woman it's a young superstar who just needs to pump his breaks. A change of scenery and a child really might do Zion a lot of good in his personal life which is none of our fucking business.
This doesn't concern me one bit. There's also tons of reports of how philanthropic he's been in the NO community. Also doesn't matter to me.This is sleazy bullshit Youtube. What does is his inability to maintain his conditioning even after reports of there being clauses his his max contract about weight issues. Also worrisome to me is NO wanting to cut bait right before his contract begins.
There has been news in the past he did not want to be in New Orleans. Maybe he is pulling a Ben Simmons or James Harden. "I don't wanna play until I feel like Zion." to escape NOLA. Before any trade, he needs to OK going to Portland and obviously check and recheck his medicals.
Because they want Miller.the one monkeywrench in this plan is Charlotte effectively picking Miller over Zion. What's stopping them from realizing Zion is available, and just completing that move to allow the Pels to grab Scoot at 2?
Then he should have a pretty good idea about living here. That could still be a positive or a negative, but that would take some guess work out of figuring out if he would leave town the first chance he had.I mean it is pretty crazy hes been training here.
I think he got two of them pregnant.Lillard is one of the best “character” guys in the league—universally admired for the way he conducts himself, and for his strong family values. Why would we want to pair him with a sex addict who is fucking three pornstars at the same time, and has gotten one of them pregnant?
